My partner and I recently visited the island for work (and were lucky enough to have a bit of rec time over the weekend). This was the third time I have visited Flinders and continue to fall in love with it more and more with each visit! The island is home to some of the most bea

Mick and Marianne most helpful, greeting at airport and offering advice. They loaned us eskies and ice packs after telling us there was no food or drink available in the north. The barbecue facility was excellent, We made use of it twice. Cooking in the cabins is a little restric

Our party of seven spent 3 nights here. Cabins are clean and functional. Mick and Marianne gave great advice for places to go and things to do. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our visit memorable. Thanks M & M!

APNPSA might be thinking of a tour to Flinders in Jan 2018 How many people could you accommodate. Does anywhere do meals for say 20. Do you have small bus transport. Do you have a local botanist who could make up plant lists for hotspots for flora, would there be many native plants in flower in Jan. is there anywhere that could provide picnic lunches.
yes please
i would like to know when would be the best time of the year to visit Flinders and King Islands and is there any way I can get from one island to the other without having to return to Moorabbin? regards Trish Roberts
Hi Trish I always suggest after Easter, the reasons being that the island has less visitors so you can enjoy the peace and great natural beauty that the island offers with the chance of not seeing another visitor and the weather is usually pretty good. if you are come to just relax and enjoy the island with no one around then late Autumn and early Winter is good. Sharp Airlines fly from Launceston to both King and Flinders Islands so you could do the Flinders Island visit and then pretty much fly straight to King via Launceston. They fly to Flinders from Essendon so you can work around departing from either Launceston or Essendon if you are visiting Flinders first. I hope that this gives you enough information to start your planning. If not please ask for more info and you can go direct via our email if you like. Happy planning Cheers Greg
