Great views from this contemporary tavern in pretty town ship location. Good pub style meal and good table service overlooking sea. Great in summer but wonder about winter ! Noticed big fire places. Would return if back. Try for accommodation in this township, a little more scenic than Whitemark

Thank-you for your positive feedback Achalen. During winter we have an open fire in the restaurant, keeping you nice and toasty! we also have a wood fire in the bar to keep everyone warm :)

This is a top pub. Helpful and friendly staff, clean surroundings and excellent food. Couldn't ask for more and usually I am a very picky critic on things judging from my other reviews. For it's relatively isolated location I must say that the food standards of this tavern are of international standard, both in terms of taste, freshness AND presentation....

Stopped for lunch whilst in Lady Barron. The food was very good with a choice of pub menu or the restaurant menu. Also had good views across to Cape Barren Island although the weather wasn't great during our visit.

Best place to stay in Lady Barron. Rooms nicely fitted out in modern style (unit 3) - large and most conveniences. Wi fi not working, but that outside issue. Food good, would like more seafood. Very friendly and nothing a trouble. Food OK but probably best on island. The Island, though mainly a farming community, is very beautiful and worth...

This property is undergoing a major renovation which is a pretty good feat for an island community. The pub atmosphere is great and the meals are fantastic. The management and staff make everyone feel welcome and I highly recommend a visit.

So I've only been on the island for a few hours, but I have to say I'm delighted by how friendly and accommodating this place is. Large, spacious rooms and the meal at the bar was fantastic (Prawn stirfry). Of the 18 hotels I've stayed at this year, this one wins hands down for service. Highly recommend to anyone travelling...

The rooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable with electric blanket and room is heated. Bathroom is clean a roomy. Shower head is old and rusted. When water is turned on more comes out of the sides than the shower head. Basic amenities are provided in room. What wins out here is the service which is excellent

We arrived hungry from an energetic morning walk at Trousers Point five minutes after the kitchen stopped serving lunch. But the Tavern's obliging new owner was not deterred, switched the deep fryer back on and offered us a restricted choice from his lunch menu. This was great service compared with experience elsewhere in Tassie where late arrival means no lunch!!...

We are very lucky to have Jason managing our business as he bends over backwards to ensure a wonderful experience for our guests. Your comments I am hearing over and over again. Glad you enjoyed some of our local produce from one of the most pristine environments on the planet.

A group of hungry sea kayakers descended on the tavern after camping out for 8 days. The beers were cold and welcome. The service was cheerful enough, especially in the restaurant. The food was tasty but not brilliantly cooked. This was better than average pub fare and most welcome at that, but the seafood in particular warranted more subtle attention....

Beautiful views from the restaurant. amazing food. Very friendly staff. Cabins a little tied and no fan or air conditioners or views from the cabins. But the cabins were very clean and tidy, toaster supplied but no plates or cutlery.
