I was really happy with the room we booked here and the price we paid was excellent value for the quality. I booked through NRMA membership and got a very good discount. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel's common areas are lovely as were the staff. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and decided to order from their bar menu. The pricing is very high but there aren't many dining options in the area so I understand this drives prices up. We ordered 2 chicken snitzels because you can't go wrong with a good snitty right? Wrong, they were soooooo awful. My husband literally couldn't eat his and he is not a fussy eater. I don't know whether they were using old oil and what happened but there was a smell to the chicken and the taste was awful. Given this food came out of the same kitchen where the fine dining food in the restaurant next door came from we were shocked. I know the chef doesn't cook the snitzels, the other staff do but the chef should be ashamed sending such sub par food out of the kitchen they run. I recommend the hotel for accommodation highly, but do not eat from the bar menu!

Stayed 3 night and wish it was more. Stayed in split level king with a nice view of the surrounding nature. Bed was so comfortable. room had been recently updated too which was nice. Had dinner 2 nights and breakfast every morning in the restaurant. could not fault anything. very reasonable given the location. Racked up 50k in 3 days in the park by foot and loved it. truly is a fantastic destination. Some of the best scenery you will see anywhere in the world. We will be coming back next year..

Our recent stay at Cradle Mountain Hotel was lovely. The most beautiful room overlooking the wilderness, incredibly comfortable bed and the pillows were out of this world (it is always hit and miss with beds and pillows). Cleanliness of our room and bathroom was immaculate. We dined in the Al La Carte restaurant, the food was amazing and our waitress was so lovely, could not do enough for us. Great experience.

Great spot, however there were a few things that let this place down. The public/restaurant areas are pleasant, up to date etc. The rooms however are dated. Bathroom out of the 90s, toilet roll holder kept falling off, heating lamps in bathroom didn’t work. Cleaning staff forgot to take dirty coffee cups, didn’t replenish tea coffee supply and left bin in middle of floor with plastic bag next to it, for us to finish the job?. This place is not cheap and you pay high prices for basic bar food……chicken schnitzel $33.00. Ouch. There’s a buffet option which is ok at 57.00 pp but the hot options included beef bourguignon and Irish stew……… tough meat and tasteless. Yuk. Hope this feedback is taken on board. We stayed in room 21 sat/sun may 6/7.

Lovely room and view, great seating areas with fires, great little bush walk just outside the door. Loved everything about our stay here . Close to the National park entrance and many easy walks, although the walk to Marions lookout is steep it is worth it. Highly recommend staying here

My husband and I booked a standard room 2 months prior and were given a room for people with a disability (neither of us are disabled). No toilet paper on the holder and only one pillow each. The bathroom was designed for wheelchairs and the basin was too low with nowhere to place our toiletries. After an exhausting hike prior to arrival, I was looking forward to a bath but only had a disabled shower and the water was not hot. The bed was so hard, it hurt my hips.

Excellent facilities… Great location, lovely room and excellent food.. Very comfy bed and a great shower … always important after an exercise filled day in cold conditions… Having a bush view direct from our room was both appreciated and special

The hotel is very good and beautiful. We loved our stay there. There were 3-4 lounge areas where we had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to people who don't want to cook on their vacation and would like to have an option of everything. The hotel has dinner buffet, room service, ala carte menu and full breakfast buffet options.

With that price I thought it would be quite basic. But surprisingly the hotel is greater than the price range. Everything is great and fit for purposes. A bit unlucky that we could not plan well to book buffet, hope will not miss next time

The Hotel was very comfortable and warm. It needs some modernising and updating. Everything was on the one site for easy access. The Wilderness Gallery and shop is well worth the visit. Breakfast and dinner was not very personable but the food was ok.
