The most basic accomodation but cosy and with everything you need! No phone signal which is brilliant!!! Wildlife everywhere and a lovely village feel. The best way to enjoy the Tasmanian wilderness if you ask me :)

We stayed for 2 nights in Amarina cabin (closest one to the amenities block). It had everything we needed (just had to bring our groceries), with a toaster, kettle, stove and fridge. It had a little oil fin heater which we found inadequete when the temp dropped below 3*C. We hired our linen and the bedding was clean and warm....

The huge advantage of the Waldheim Cabins is being able to get up, put your boots straight on and walk out your door on your way to the mountain. There are both short and long walks which start at the bottom of the hill. All other accomodation is outside the park. So from other accomodation you have either a long...

Right in the heart of the park, and easy to access (you are provided with a tag to open the boom gate at the park entrance so you do not need to rely on the shuttle buses). Fantastic with kids as there are wombats and paddy melons everywhere. It is also central to great walks. Why pay well over double...

We loved it. You can't stay much closer to Cradle Mountain than above Ronny's Creek. The huts were rustic but very cosy and equipped beyond our expectations. The heater was awesome, as was the near new stove / oven and the large dining table. The shower was hot and the amenities clean. Beds suprisingly comfortable. We walked the Dove Lake...

Don't get me wrong, this is not 5 star accommodation but it is a great place to stay. The cabins are basic but well equipped, you can book bedding or use your own. The cabins make a great base for climbing Cradle Mountain or other hiking in the park. They are set in the forest with wallabies and wombats around....

We stayed at the cabins for two nights and were so glad we did. The cabin is basic and comfortable and has everything you need. There is very good heating to keep you warm on cold nights. We were pleased that we were able to do all our walks from the cabin as we spoke to people who stayed outside...

Stayed here three nights in January. Cabins were very basic, comfortable, functional and had adequate cooking facilities. Beds solid, bunks with firm mattress. Shower and toilet facilities in a block across the way but easily accessible in the middle of the night. Surrounded by wildlife - wild wombats & wallabies just outside the cabins. Quiet and dark at night -...

After a few nights in a camper van we figured we'd have a night in a decent bed and make use of a bigger kitchen. This place is well worth a stop. Well furnished and has electricity. Nice and clean. Showers and toilet outside, which was perfect for us, but could be a bit cold in winter. They do however...
