Three of us stayed on an unpowered site ($36 or 37 a night) for 2 nights then another night a day or two later. Good campsite, hot showers ($1 for 6 minutes, all you need), laundry, covered BBQ and eating area, all fine. I noticed one reviewer complained that the ground was uneven. What!? It's a national park not a...

Lake St Clair Lodge is in the middle of nowhere, with no mobile coverage or wifi. Great if you want to unplug, no so great if you didn't know. Book Studio cabin, it was clean, neat but not what I booked. I requested two singles and instead ended up with a King, I had confirmed when booking in that the...

Visited with the family and stayed in Lakeside Bungalow which is a cottage collocated with a guest room, with the joining door unlocked. Two queen beds, two bathrooms, kitchen, two living spaces. Great for family of four. We bought provisions for dinner in Strahan before driving to the area, and cooked in the room. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast - nothing...

I stayed at the Lake St Clair Lodge at the end of May 2016. Lake St Clair is just outside your door, the facilities are great, the food is good, but the dorm rooms are a little expensive for what you get (45$/a night). The welcome centre is just beautiful. There are fireplaces and a few seats to sit and...

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin which was comfortable and had plenty of room. The beds were very comfy. It was self contained except for laundry but buffet breakfast was included and it was good. We ate in the restaurant for 3 nights and the food servings were very generous. The spag Bol could feed 3 people! The steak...

We spent two nights at the St Clair Lodge at the end of our Overland Track hike. Firstly the place is expensive. Very average and small one bed chalets are $380 per night for a partial view of the lake. It is definitely not five star. Despite just finishing the hike and being tired and filthy staff refused to allow...

We stayed in a lake view cabin, the room was very nice with a beautiful gas fire and a view of the lake between the trees. A great location in the national park for day walks nearby. The service from reception to the restaurant however was really poor. I asked for a couple of simple things like an extra towel...

Stayed in a cabin by the lake. Was just perfect - clean, modern room with thoughtful touches like free drinks, slippers, nice toiletries. All very neat and tidy and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

This is the best place to stay as a base for exploring the lake St. Clair area. All walks start here so you can walk from your accommodations to the start of the tracks (around 300 meters, average). Ferry also starts from here. If you stay at the cabins, they are very well appointed and felt quite luxurious especially after...

I really enjoyed the stay here. Very quite, lots of animals, very nice lodges. Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Not many other choices but the one choice was very nice.
