First impressions were not good, a huge disappointment when checking in, so much so that I asked to be given another room. The start of our stay was not looking good but soon improved after we paid for an upgrade and was given a lakeside spa room. I had booked a Studio Lake Side room but was given studio 19... More

The drive to the lodge was challenging, including long patches of gravel roads, but the effort was worth it. We stayed in a very well-appointed clean cabin with microwave, fridge teapot and utensils. slippers and bathrobes provided for a cozy, if not luxurious stay. It rained for a full day of our 3 1/2 day stay and we were unable... More

It is along drive to get here but well worth the effort. Our cabin was new and looked out over the lake. It was very comfortable with a small but well equipped kitchen and a nice lounge/dining room. The bedroom was quite big and the bed extremely comfortable. The restaurant/ bar is expensive but if you stock up on groceries... More

We drove into Derwent Bridge needing a powered site and were informed by locals of Lake St Clair. Wow, its out of season and very quiet but we were warmly welcomed by the staff who were super friendly and hospitable and served us dinner even though it was close to closing time! The staff looked like they were from the... More

We were almost put off by negative reviews, but thank goodness we stayed. Yes, the restaurant is expensive for the food quality served but the roaring fire made us feel homely, warm and comfortable. The views are outstanding and it is a handy stop over on the run from the West to Hobart. The wifi is non existent but I... More

We stayed at the Lake St Clair Lodge Wilderness Suite. The suite was cosy and had a fireplace, kitchenette and jacuzzi bath. The location of the lodge is very close to Lake St Clair so you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake. The Lake St Clair National Park Visitor Centre is also at the Lodge so you can... More

The weather was cold & wet but the welcome was warm & helpful. Our bungalow was very comfortable in a lovely setting. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the two nights we stayed, but the cafe menu was good all the same.

I took my mother here for breakfast before a bushwalk. When I ordered I couldn't understand the waiter, the whole place looked like it was run by foreigners. I had the big breakfast and mum had the porridge. My toast was barely toasted, the tomato looked old, my baked beans tasted like they were from a tin and my egg... More

I'm just reviewing about the bistro/cafe that was attached to this lodge. A friend and I just finished the Overland Track so naturally needed a good cup of coffee and some proper meal after 6 days of bushwalking and package food. I have never met any ruder cashier/maitre d' in my life. Nevermind I was waiting at the counter to... More

Our Chalet was fantastic, very modern, clean and comfortable. There is a good sized kitchen but there are no grocery stores nearby so you would have to be organised and bring in any food that you wanted to prepare. If you were staying for any length of time the menus at the restaurant and cafe would become a bit repetitive,... More
