A group (7) of us stayed in the farm house and we found the staff very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge. We all really enjoyed having Ross (Gourmet Farmer) deliver our meals every night. We stayed 3 nights, managed two big walks and enjoyed the food and wine.

Great accommodation. Great wildlife. Friendly hosts. What more can you ask for? Best place I've ever stayed. The location is stunning and we felt very welcome; a bit like staying at a family member's farm but in the middle of gorgeous forest teeming with birds and wildlife. If you don't stay here while on Bruny you're missing out on something... More

Hi Greepo - sorry for the delay in response. Wow, that is great, thank you, we feel honoured to be the best place you've stayed! Of course we cant take all the credit - our great wildlife must get some of that! We think Bruny (and Tasmania for that matter) is totally underrated as a winter destination - nothing a... More

We've stayed at Inala cottage before, this was our first time in Nairana which is a little smaller and perfect for couples. Well-appointed, self-contained, comfortable and quiet, with on-site walks, wildlife viewing including Zeru the white wallaby and lots of bird life. On our final night we enjoyed a delicious two-course venison roast with dessert, cooked and delivered by Ross... More

My family stayed in Nairana cottage which is the more luxurious of the two types of accommodation here at Inala. We were greeted enthusiastically by Tonia and a well appointed kitchen, plenty of cutlery and crockery, and 2 bedrooms as well as a sofa that could convert into a sofa bed. There is a pond nearby so make sure your... More

Thanks for your wonderful feedback on your stay! We are thrilled to hear you had such a good time with us, and managed to see Forty-spotted Pardalote. Good to hear too that you were cosy - we think autumn/winter is a lovely, and somewhat underrated, time to visit Tassie! We look forward to sharing our Bruny with you in future.... More

We stayed in Inala, the three bedroom cottage. It is located in a beautiful garden, with birds at your doorstep. And then just short walks (or long if you want) to more birds (rare pardalotes), white wallabies, a whole host of wonderful animals (and a few snakes, but this is Australia so that is to be expected...) Tanya and all... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Nairana (spelling?) cabin which was very private, clean, and well stocked. It was our first stop after a dash from NSW through Hobart. Imagine how thrilled I was to find good ground coffee in the fridge. Upon arriving we dropped our luggage and grabbed our binos. The birding from the cabin deck was... More

Hello, well done, you spelled Nairana correctly! It's lovely to hear you had such a positive experience here, and your support for our conservation efforts. For us the wildlife really is the reason everything else is here. All the best from us here at Inala. More

By far, the highlight of our trip to Tasmania!! We arrived at the Inala house in the early evening along with incredibly strong, cold winds. The fire was going and the house was incredibly warm! What a great start!! The Inala house has 3 rooms, perfect for myself, husband and two boys. It also had a washer and dryer conveniently... More

We're really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Inala. Sorry for such a late reply. It's now very much the busy season here and we have several 'babies' in care, and also plenty hatching out - three baby swallows with a nest above the Nature Centre have just taken flight. More

An idyllic spot with lots of wildlife. Tonia Cochrane, the owner has created an amazing get-away. From the wallabies & spotted pardolotte (an endangered bird species) bird hide to the Gondwanan garden, it's a fun place to get away. The facilities are extremely clean & well organized down to the washer & dryer facilities in my suite. Lots of beautiful... More

We stayed here for two nights. Weather was wet and cold which was a pity. The wildlife encounters were wonderful with wallabies and their joeys extremely close by . This was one of the highlights of our trip to Tasmania. We spent 3 nights in the Inala Cottage. The two self-contained cottages on the property each have fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, broadband internet access, TV/DVD and outside BBQ areas with access to the property and walking tracks for wildlife viewing or exploring.
