On Bruny for the day needed lunch was recommended Hotel Bruny and super pleased we had lunch here. 2 x Wallaby Cheese Burgers. It was a taste sensation although 1 would have been enough for my husband and I. Great spot lovely views great staff and quick service. So much more than even good pub grub.

I had lunch with a friend seafood gombo. It was only warm after waiting 40 mins. The other meal was seafood chowder it was thick and cold hardly any fish to speak of. I would not recommend this hotel for lunch on our experience. Tourist want local fish and fresh.

Hotel is at Alonnah and easy to find. Make sure you book a table if you are eating at night as it gets busy. Food is locally sourced and delicious. Staff were helpful and courteous. Great place to sit and watch the sunset over the water.

Pay the ferry fare to Bruny just to taste this creamy delicious bowl of seafood delight! Served with just enough garlicky sour dough to help you get every dreg! Large $20! I've had quite a few in my travels and this is a serious contender for best ever! Staff great, awesome view...!

We live surrounded by pubs in Melbourne, and yet solo on Bruny Island - this is the hotel that can beat them all. It does what a pub does, and it certainly does it well! My steak was cooked perfectly, the option to go for all salad other chips didn't feel like a chore for them, and the parma left...

Walked in with a family of 9, 4 adults and 5 kids ages between 12 and 5. We booked in advance, which is the smart thing to do as it was busy. Mainy welcomed us with open arms straight up and asked what was parent to kid ratio which was a good thing. (Kids down one end parents at the...

We picked up our keys to our accommodation from the pub and at the same time noticed the fantastic food that was been served there so booked ourselves in for dinner. My husband and I both found the food to be beautiful (chicken parma & tassie scollops plus garlic bread and dessert), The staff were very friendly and obliging and...

Hotel Bruny itself should be demolished! (our accommodation off-site was VERY nice! *It is quite a long way from the ferry to the hideous "Hotel Bruny" - only to be told by the nice staff that (thankfully) our accommodation was "about half way back behind the café" - which it was. The Bruny Island Café is a wonderful oasis, innovative...
