Very cozy and comfortable cabin with an excellent wood heater. All we needed was included and it was nice and clean. 20 minutes to Lake St Clair and The Wall. Also many fishing lakes nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Already planning another stay.
We stayed here while travelling on an Intrepid tour of Tasmania. It was really good, we had a little fire in the evening in a log stove. Wallabies came in to the garden at dusk. Great night sky and good restaurant and bar on site....More

The word 'cabin' usually conjures images of a musty, outdated building with timber panelled walls and a deer head mounted to the wall. Not the case here (thank goodness!).

Road conditions will vary daily. You may get anything from bright sun and dry roads through to road closures due to snow. The highway is narrow and for mainlanders can be quite daunting in terms of corners. Exercise common sense and if conditions are damp and cold be wary of ice and black ice. Shadows over roads can also hide slippery conditions. If you get a clear blue sky day, the views are spectacular.
