An almost-but-not-quite for the cottage. It was clean, bright and airy, but the mould in the ensuite is an issue for asthma sufferers like us. The kitchen was surprisingly (and happily) well provisioned with knives, pots, pans etc, a big thumbs up for that. The heater is fabulous, but its a good thing it wasn't hot, as the air-con had... Well for a family of five it is a well appointed property in a good location. My only criticism is the general up-keep of the place. There is a mold issue in the ensuite bathroom and there is no handrail on the back verandah steps and there needs to be some garden maintenance in the front yard, apart from that... More

We spent two nights at Denfella Lodge and were let down with the quality of the property. The home itself is very large & if the furniture were upgraded, would make a wonderful stay for large groups. Unfortunately the beds have mattresses that are paper thin with springs poking out - it was impossible to get a good nights sleep.... More

I was totally impressed by the Apple Blossom Cottage. It was large, clean, bright and very tastefully furnished. The bed was one of the more comfortable that I have slept in and there was a good range of bedding to cover any shifts in temperature. The location is very quiet and within 5 minutes walk to the head of a... More

Loved this really peaceful cottage where we spent 2 nights. As a family of 2 adults, 2 elderly and a 7 year old, the location was great! Peaceful and quiet yet close enough to various attractions and walks. A bit of "traffic" from day trippers on bush walks on the Sunday but it was still an ideal spot for us.... More

We chose a mid week special and were allotted Den Fenella Cottage right near Wentworth Falls ... a Sunday night through to Friday, perfect for a short break. There is so much room 6 people could stay easily, we only used the downstairs section as a couple but there was another two bedrooms available. We unfortunately arrived as the reverse cycle... More

Our family of two adults and two boys 8 and 10 could have stayed here a week rather than the three days we did. The lodge was spacious, modern and fully equipped. Short walking distance to the Wentworth Falls area and for those without a car the taxi service in the area is exceptional if you want to go to other... More

I won some brownie points with this one. I surprised my wife with a night at the Den Fenella cottage and dinner at Flemish Flavours in Leura. It was only one night, but it was a relaxing and romantic experience. Another good aspect (if appreciate walking and hiking), it's just a short walk from the Wentworth falls conservation hut. Where... More

This place is called Cottage on the Mall in Leura(Blue Mountains). We arrived there by train, from Sydney, climbed up the stairs and walked down to the cottage. I made prior arrangements with the owner to have a key waiting at the unit as their office is in another city. We stayed there for 3 nights. Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 2... More

Dear William, We apologise again for the wrong information about WIFI being on Hotels.com. Unfortunately with this company we cannot write our own descriptions and we do not always pick up their mistakes immediately. Free WIFI is available at our B&B not the cottages. I'm sorry you did not avail yourself of the arrangements I put in place for you... More

We booked one of Whispering Pines' mid-week specials. We were allocated the cottage in Leura. It was perfect - spacious, completely self-contained, warm and wonderful to return to after big days of walking. There was only two of us but it could easily fit 6 people. The cottage is situated right in the middle of the Blue Mountains so we... More
