Spent a long weekend here with a friend in order to enjoy the Blue Mountains, having previously stayed for an Xmas in July event under old management. Since then Denise and Gary have taken over and are making a concerted effort to overhaul the hotel and it is off to a promising start. Our room was very comfortable and good... More

I recently attended a reunion, with old friends, at Mount Victoria Manor. The setting is breathtaking & the accommodation exceeded our expectations. All the little luxuries, one likes to be provided with were on hand, including toiletries, towels, beautiful linen & bedding, chocolates, heating, a torch & so much more. The room was recently refurbished & extremely welcoming. The ensuite... More

Well we there for Christmas in July ... The rooms were ok but not nearly as good as the photos .... The Yulefest dinner was " interesting " - served with mulled wine " to die for " ... And if we had drunk it we would have !!First course appeared to be tinned tomato soup with an added dash... More

I've been coming here since I was a child and have very fond memories of the place. It's a great getaway for being wholesome with the whole family. We recently had a big family reunion and played games around the lawns and had fun catching up. The house itself if a little need of work, but I loved the rustic... More

Mt Victoria Manor House was our starting point of hiking trip organized by AusWalk. We stayed there for one night and we were the only guests on that particular night. The hotel is located conveniently close to the railway station on the edge of the township’s park. It is an old venerable building built in about 1876 and staying there... More

We stayed here for five nights at the beginning of January in the Fairfax suite. The rooms were well equipped and clean. The building itself is in desperate need of a truck load of money being spent on it. The weather was very wet and at least two leaks were evident in the roof with a need to put buckets... More

Rooms were clean tidy nothing special, $580 for 3 nights is over priced, We stayed when we had a function to attend, if I had known we would have stayed a little further away and drove, Never had breakfast here the place was dark and reminded me of my grandparents house from years ago, I guess it is possible historic... Great location to be a bit away from busy Katoomba. I took my parents for a couple of nights away. Heather was very kind and attentive. Electric blankets and heaters in our rooms - we stayed in the Fairfax Suite. Continental breakfast and cooked breakfast available - delicious! There are also many sitting rooms and a sun room that would... More

Old house with lots of character. It is a country house so not your sanitised chain hotel but warm room, cozy bed with electric blanket and lovely bathroom with great shower. Highlight is the owners. Lovely people who made us feel so at home. Food is fine. Breakfast was good & plentiful and dinner was fun

My family of four spent a much needed restful night here after attending Ironfest at Lithgow. This B&B in Mt.Victoria is a lovely old 1800's style building full of character. Although very old, it has been maintained well. We stayed in a family 2 room apartment with our own ensuite & tv. Apartment was basic but clean & warm. Also... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Blue Mountains Manor House, the most prominent home erected in the late 1870's by J.R. Fairfax (S.M.H.) on the most commanding point at Mount Victoria. Blue Mountains Manor House is still a magnificent, rambling edifice constructed on solid stone foundations, embellished architecturally with cedar fittings. Sympathetic restoration has retained its impressive qualities, combined with an ambiance you can feel as you walk in the front door. "Just when you think the last of the true old fashioned guesthouses are dead and buried, along comes Blue Mountains Manor House ...fast emerging as one of the best, old style getaways in the Blue Mountains." Good Weekend. We are extremely lucky in that Blue Mountains Manor House is in a quiet position. Most houses that have spanned 3 centuries have the highway or railway right on their doorstep. We enjoy the peaceful surrounds of grounds and a small 19th century village. The house has 13 en-suite rooms and 3 apartments all individually decorated with queen or king ensembles, feather doonas and electric blankets. All en-suites have been introduced in the last 2 years and 7 have full baths (1 spa bath), 3 have half baths and 4 with showers. ... more   less
