My partner and I stayed for one night on the return trip home from Dubbo. The b&b is located in the quaint historic town of Carcoar. Whilst the town is small it has a lot of character and is located close enough that a visit to Orange is doable. The small town of Millthorpe nearby is also a must see!...

We stayed at the 5 Frogs for 2 nights when attending a family function just out of Carcoar. The accommodation is 5 ⭐️. The rooms were beautifully prepared with quality furnishings, linen and bathroom amenities. It included everything we needed, coffee and tea making facilities, a very modern and roomy bathroom (including a roomy spa) and a lovely sitting room...

We stopped here for some lunch as the place looked good. The menu was very simple, pies, sandwiches and quiche. We wanted a quick lunch so I ordered a toasted sandwich and my husband ordered a pie. We waited and waited and waited. We were the only people there and now I know why!! While we waited the staff were engaged in an...

Stayed one night and wish it had been a week. The stable room is super quiet and removed from the others so you have a bit more privacy. The host is super friendly and nothing was a problem. Home style cooking that was very delicious... Try the lemon cheesecake... YUM. Carcoar is a very quaint town and it would have...

We stayed at 5 Frogs guesthouse last weekend with our 2 kids and another family. James and Tamara couldn't have been better hosts - nothing we wanted was too much trouble and they were so accommodating of our every need and the fact that our group had 6 noisy children under 10. The cafe is marvellous, the food divine and...

Tamara (local GP) and James have recently taken over this excellent guest house and cafe. I had a wonderful night's sleep after a lovely meal. The rooms, fluffy bath robes and accoutrements were of the highest standard. Unfortunately I doubt if I will be back to this village so full of nineteenth century history and restored buildings but if I...

The Five Frogs is a wonderful place to stay, the beds are comfortable, the room we stayed in (Room 3) had a really airy, bright bathroom with spa, plenty of hot water and enough pressure to blow you out of the shower recess!! The room was clean and tidy, and linen crisp and fresh. Mine host (or hostess for us...

We came 3 hours from Canberra to cute Carcoar on a weekend. We chose the 5 Froggies G-House Project because it sounded solid and was close to Cowra (we had a Neila booking... Oh baby!). Melanie our host is a champion. If service was three bears, she'd be just right. Boutique chocolates? Wine? Home made shortbread? Correctly fitting sheets? This...

Attracted by the photographs on the Internet, I booked a 3 night stay at the Five Frogs Guesthouse. I mentioned to Melanie, at the time, that I wanted to book the Hioneymoon suite as a special treat for my birthday. Melanie called me the night before my departure to find out whether she could make any dinner reservations for me....

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we were anticipating a wonderful experience at Five Frogs in Carcoar. Sadly we were very disappointed. Firstly our bed, the sheets didn't fit, the manager confessed they had had a busy weekend & she was short of bed linen. Our bed was also short of linen literally, bottom sheet too short didn't even tuck...

“We stayed in room 3, my sister and her husband stayed in room 2 and my daughter and her husband stayed in the stables. All the rooms were of good quality. Note: There was no swimming pool, but I was unable to take the rating off it once I accidentally clicked it.”

“Room 3 overlooks the rear yard, although no real view - Room 1 has a balcony overlooking the street, but you can access the balcony from the library room and watch the passing parade in Carcoar!! Rooms 1,2,3 all are accessed by a steep flight of stairs. There is not much noise in the town anyway, and no through traffic.”
