We stayed at the Halfway Bridge Inn for two nights - this was our third visit. Really well designed and kept bedrooms in a former stable block/barn nearby. A delightful team runs the inn, and the chef provides a great breakfast. All for a very reasonable price, especially if your visit doesn't coincide with one of the Goodwood events!

English country inn with luxurious accommodation. We stayed 2 nights and dined in both nights. Service was very good and the food delicious. Highly recommended for a quiet weekend away. Discreet, romantic style rooms in a separate area to the main inn. Good location for exploring West Sussex.

we stayed in June as we were visiting the festival of speed. room 3 was really well appointed but the bathroom smelt and the tea and coffee were not refilled, at over £240 a night for a pub it's expensive. the food in the pub was really nice although a number of our party had upset tummies the next day,... What a find. 20 mins from home. Four of us dined here last Saturday evening. We were greated with smiles and courtesy, and shown straight to our table. And that was the only tiny criticism, I would have quite like a pre-dinner drink first in the bar. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the... More

Cosy, comfortable, restful inn, with separate rooms from the restaurant where the cooking is absolutely delicious, with fresh and subtle flavours. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. All this for very reasonable prices and in beautiful, mellow countryside. Thank you!!

The accommodation here has been done out really well and is set back just from the pub itself. It seems they have been converted from old stables and have floor to ceiling windows, or at the one I stayed in did, and a couple of those opened out from the bottom which was quite novel, but let in some nice... Impossible not to admire this place. Very genuinely warm welcome. Easy, well designed surroundings. Interesting menu. Brilliant service. Oh.. and then there is the food! We were hungry after a long day walking on the Downs but we did't want 'pub grub'. Instead this was 'haut cuisine' at very reasonable prices. Hock terrine, pickled mackerel. devilled kidney starters. All delicately... More

We stayed over on a Thursday and Friday - two couples - the hotel is set back from the road and room further back. Welcoming staff and very nice rooms - clean, neat and very welcoming (water, tea, coffee and biscuits). Good wifi. Restaurant was very nice - low key and very efficient service - food was first class. Wine... More

The room was luxurious, spacious and very cosy! The long wooden beams offered a more traditional detail in a modern room with all the amenities! Part of a very friendly and helpful family business! The lovely pub and restaurant were situated just opposite the rooms!! Great peaceful surroundings mainly very well kept gardens

The accommodation is in a converted stable block, a short walk from the Inn - extremely comfortable and blissfully quiet. The pub is quiet small but there is seating outside. I have dined there three times now and the food has always been excellent and breakfast was good too! Last but certainly not least the Staff, are friendly and helpful... More
