The level of service is exceptional and attentive- I'm a fussy eater and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was excellent. The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean. I've seen a comment on noise from adjacent rooms and we did occasionally hear the TV in the neighbouring room- however it was not intrusive.

Lovely rooms, lovely Pub, good beer, beautiful building, lovely Staff, great dinner, great breakfast. The "quintessential "Pub Stay", relax, eat, drink and enjoy! Well located in the lovely Sussex Countryside, close to Petworth and Cowdray. Enough said!

We visited the Halfway Bridge, which is near to where we live during CHRIMBOLIMBO 2016. It is situated in the South Downs National Park between Petworth and Midhurst. I forgot to book and the bar and restaurant were nearly full. The staff found us the last available table, in a small room off the bar. As we sat down, we...

I only found out about this place by chance. Booking was easy and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. The service was very good and the staff seemed genuinely sincere in looking after us. All our courses were well prepared and presented, and, we were not disappointed. I would willingly return again and based on this experience have no hesitation...

We have stayed here a few times before. It's always been very nice. This time, as normal a great welcome, lovely room, Great food BUT walls are thin so currently wide awake due to noisy neighbours bashing around and shouting. Can hear every word of the family next door. Not so much the relaxing chilled break that we so wanted....

Very comfortable rooms, ground floor with own front door, in converted barn with bar and restaurant just a few steps away. Had a meal in the restaurant one evening and it was of a high standard. Breakfast excellent. Bar is very comfortable with decent beers and a good choice of wines.

We stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend and both thought it was fantastic! We stayed in room 1 and it was beautifully decorated, very clean and the exposed beam added a real rustic feel. The bed was absolutely huge and VERY comfortable and the complimentary water was a nice touch considering it was very warm outside!...

We stayed at the Halfway Bridge Inn for two nights - this was our third visit. Really well designed and kept bedrooms in a former stable block/barn nearby. A delightful team runs the inn, and the chef provides a great breakfast. All for a very reasonable price, especially if your visit doesn't coincide with one of the Goodwood events!

English country inn with luxurious accommodation. We stayed 2 nights and dined in both nights. Service was very good and the food delicious. Highly recommended for a quiet weekend away. Discreet, romantic style rooms in a separate area to the main inn. Good location for exploring West Sussex.
