Our stay at the Stonemasons was wonderful from start to finish. We stayed here as our 'mini-moon' after getting married and the staff made it a really special stay; we were upgarded and had a rose and bottle of bubbly in the room! The property is charming and full of character in a great location a short walk outside of...

Stopped off for a family meal after a long walk around Petworth Park. We booked a table he day before and ended up with more family members than expected, not a problem though, the staff were very friendly and moved the tables around. Our dogs were greeted with dog treats and affection! The food was great, I opted for the...

We liked the look of this place....old and quirky is 'our thing' so were looking forward to a night away. We were told we had been put in another room to the one we had originally chosen as it would be warmer. I wanted to see the original room anyway but was told it wasn't made up. So....I guess being...

Asked for my steak Med/rare it was very overdone. Peppercorn sauce tasted like vinegar & the best part of my meal was the salad. Chef was also very rude to the waitress in front of us about other customers orders. Wouldn't go again.

Tripadvisor reviews convinced us that this was a good place for an overnight stop - good food and comfortable surroundings. We booked via their own website, which was impressive and informative, including menus etc. What could go wrong? It was a disaster! Comfortable maybe, but cold! And worst of all, no food! The website didn't give any suggestion that their...

My sister I enjoyed a very nice sandwich with excellent fries. Nice friendly staff, good service, reasonably priced. Would definitely go again. Very near the park at Petworth, so a good walk followed by lunch. Perfect.

Stayed here for three nights in december. It was a very pleasant stay. Nice food, wonderful staff and a lovely dog (Blue). The room that we had was very cosy and sweet. The Inn is located right across the street from the beautiful Petworth park. Only have good things to write, we will definitly come back soon again.

In October 2015 my girlfriend & I had a perfect meal/experience. We've been back twice since and had reasonable meals but with very slow service. On Sunday we were in a large party & had pre-ordered our meals. We arrived to chaos at the bar, (with one young female member of staff drying cutlery & had the most miserable facial...

We took over the whole place for a wedding elsewhere. Clean comfortable rooms and very warm too. Late drinks for some when they got back. The next morning we all turned up for breakfast plus 10 extra. They coped admirably and presented a hearty meal. A nice find.

We had Sunday lunch yesterday and couldn't fault the food - roast lamb and beef were both very tasty and plenty of roasties and veg; and the (bought in?) puds were fine. However the service left a great deal to be desired - including a very long wait for the meal to arrive and even longer to clear the plates,...
