I cant fault my stay here. Lisa at reception was fantastic with her service and nothing was too much for her. She gave very helpful advice on things to do and even gave us wellies to roam the gardens when it was a wet day. She always had a smile. Also the cocktails were the best I have ever had.... More

We have just returned from a wonderful one-night stay including dinner. Our deluxe junior suite (Chanctonbury Ring) was amazing with stunning views across to the South Downs, spacious with amazingly large en-suite with excellent shower and TV above bath. Very comfortable bed with wifi and tablet provided in room. We have eaten at The Pass before and had a wonderful... More

When we decided to book south lodge hotel as the venue for our wedding on the, we did not know what we were getting ourselves into. Allow me to explain. We expected the hotel and your staff to be good, but we did not expect such perfection. I have worked with hotels and their staff, as I used to organise... More

Fabulous hotel with all you can ask for. Spacious rooms, large bathrooms with amazing showers, TV in the bath. Comfy bed with a pillow menu, tablet to view all the info about the hotel and order a movie with free popcorn. Breath taking surroundings, must be amazing during the summer. Really good restaurant, service and food just fab.

Having already stayed in this majestic hotel in the Sussex countryside I was exited to relive the experience. Different room this time and having picked the 1st day of the year we found the Michelin star restaurant closed and the pub serving delicious local food closing early. Getting over the disappointment we went for a walk in the stunning grounds... More

Dear TesAngel, Thank you ever so much for your review and for returning to South Lodge. I am delighted you were able to enjoy a stroll around our 93 acres of grounds. Fredrick duCane Godman, who build the house and estate in 1883, was a keen botanist and hence our spectacular surroundings. Our series of ponds are indeed lovely, although... More

This is a beautiful lodge nestled amongst stunning grounds. The staff are very welcoming and I cannot think of a single improvement to this lovely location for a luxurious weekend away. The rooms are beautifully equipped with all of life's little luxuries.

The dining experiences were amazing. We had... More
