I stayed here over 50 years ago, and it is still the most beautiful setting and very peaceful. about 250 yards from a pebble beach, but the gardens of the hotel are lovely - plenty of space for croquet - all ready for you, spaces to fly kites and generally relax. lovely enclosed courtyard for lunch or afternoon tea. There... More

For the price-point, this should be so much better. Actually, a mixture of experiences, coming away from this stunning property. Front desk staff were polished and experienced. We were firstly shown to a room in the main house with a view of the bins and the kitchen extractor humming and stinking outside. Another, very pleasant room was found quickly and... More

My husband and I had a glorious overnight stay at bailiffs court. Accommodation was in the ground floor of the coach house. The hotel is situated in a stunning private estate with plentiful parking. We were given a warm welcome by the duty staff, shown to our room with its beautiful en suite and left to relax and unwind. Dinner... More

Wonderful place with fantastic staff. Incredible history to it as well. Great relaxing stay for our 35th wedding anniversary after a large party for family and friends. Would definitely go again and will recommend it to my friends

We came here for afternoon tea, and it couldn't have been better. The weather was sunny and warm, so we could sit outside in the courtyard. It was charming, quiet, and pretty. The cream tea was so good - it was our first one! The sandwiches, pastries, and the scones - oh the scones were fabulous! Perfectly baked!! I'd love... More

Beautiful setting with log fires in winter. Pretty grounds and very tranquil. Unlimited sandwiches and choice of teas/coffees. Fresh sandwiches, delicious cakes and scones. Very classy environment for a special occasion.

Very relaxing stay, beautiful setting, food excellent, great spa. Walk to the beach added bonus. No sign of Kevin....you'll know when you stay there...the buildings are from differing time periods, some relatively recent, but look much older. There are a few very old buildings with exposed wattle & daub and flint filled panelling, all very interesting. The roofs are stunning....thatch... More

We got married at Bailiffscourt hotel and stayed there for a couple of days beforehand. The hotel itself is amazing and it's team made our wedding day just magical by dealing with all crisis on the day with professionalism, attentiveness and calmness. Our bridal suite (Bailies) was fantastic, both ceremonies (civil ceremony and blessing in the Chapel) were memorable (Father... More

This hotel is set in the most stunning location with beautiful grounds leading down to Climping beach. Three of us decided to go there for tea. Looking at the menu we decided that we did not want the full cream tea so asked if we could just have tea and sandwiches instead of cake . The tea itself was weak... More

Just back from a terrific long weekend at Bailiffscourt. The setting is beautiful. Buildings and rooms are all very old (17th century) and quaint but beautifully furnished. Staff were friendly and invariably on hand. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Short walk to the beach was lovely with our dog - dog friendly a real bonus. Highly recommended.
