On arrival we were greeted by Sue the landlady a very warm welcome. Our room was absolutely excellent. For us was the first time ever in a B&B with a dog and we were very concerned. Those concerns were very soon put to rest by Sue and all her staff. Breakfast cooked by Rachel was nothing short of perfect again put at our ease with the dog and we had a really good laugh with Rachel. The menu for for our evening meal was so varied it was hard to make a choice. The quality of our food all through our visit was excellent. Never been to such a lovely place a all the staff were very friendly. You could have a really good laugh and a joke with them. Will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future. Definitely 5* value.

Went for lunch with another couple, got a good welcome to warm and friendly pub. Very spacious and the service was friendly and efficient. Beer prices are very reasonable and they give a choice of one coure, two course or three course at lunchtime. Food was great. I think the Elmer should give an example of their lunch time menu and prices on their website as they only show the main menu. I think their lunch time menu changes daily. Certainy go again.

Our second visit in twelve months, this time with a young dog in tow. Owner/proprietor could not be more helpful and accommodating and was happy to allow pet to stay in family room with us. The staff at the Elmer are helpful, friendly and efficient. The family room is comfortable, clean and well-furnished (double and single bed, wardrobe, dresser, television, kettle and sundries. The en-suite is pleasingly large with plentiful towels and travel toiletries. The pub itself is a community hub and draws a good number of locals, both afternoon and evening. The cooked breakfast is tasty and satisfyingly large. Cereals, yoghurt, toast and preserves also available. You can be at the shore in less than 10 minutes.
