Where do we start.... Well the Hotel is not the Ritz if you want a romantic stay away from gone DO NOT stay here ... If you were around in the 70's and watched Faulty Towers you will think John Cleese is hiding on reception .... No lifts .... Stairs lead you to a maze of corridors following paper signs... More

Okay, this is not The Ritz, but reading some of the dreadful reviews about this place made us think about our booking. But at under £30 a room i defy you to find better for an overnight bed. The hotel is out dated and the children wanted to play a game exploring the endless corridors but the rooms were spacious... More

I had read mixed reviews of this place but believe me the worst ones are true! We asked for another room which was marginally better than the first but still bad. The only positive thing I could say about it was the shower and a lovely big fluffly towel (one each). The tv only worked for a short amount of... More

Was booked to stay here hubby booked didn't read reviews etc lesson learned Absolutely filthy old fashioned & a fire hazard in my opinion, Windows painted shut, stale smell & basically looking like something from a 1940s movie We turned on our heels & left. When the company we booked through contacted the hotel the receptionist lied said she showed... More

Where do I start? Antiquated, sad, outdated, pathetic excuse for a hotel. From a really unwelcoming and antisocial reception at check-in through to an absolute maze of corridors and staircases, with thread-bare carpets and drapery that looks like it has never been washed. Eventually to your room, where the door is loose in the frame and felt like the lock... More

We. stayed here in July. The whole place is a bit of a maze and full of strange rooms. The rooms we stayed were very spacious, with space for at least 4 people with two single beds and a double bed. The latter was a wonderful 4 poster king size bed with a double bed mattress. The furniture in the... More

Probably the worst place I have ever been too. I would never recommend it to anyone. There was bugs all over our beds, blood( or paint, couldn't tell) splattered all over the wall. There was mouldy bread in a draw and the other room stunk. Worst experience ever. I didn't feel clean at all and couldn't sleep because I felt... More

We needed somewhere relatively cheap to stay for a birthday weekend in Birmingham. We found this place on a reputable website and saw that it had decent ratings, so we presumed that it would be OK... Oh we couldn't have been more wrong. On arrival the smell of fast food lingered in the air with a Chinese, Indian and mcdonalds... More
