What 'Baggie' does best !! Taken a wonderful old pub, off the beaten track and turned it into something of character. Wonderful choice of proper beer and the Thai Restaurant if you want something different, is well worth a visit; enjoy !

My partner and I spent the weekend in Shipton on Stour, at the George hotel, and went for a stroll around the town on the Friday afternoon. After stumbling over the Black Horse (its not the easiest of places to find) we were delighted to find an authentuic 'olde worlde inn' with a good selection of real ales, a real... More

Found ourselves in the area on Friday evening without a booking. Lovely staff soon accommodated us and the food was excellent quality. Really enjoyed our 2 course Thai buffet for £15.95 a head in this quaint little pub with lovely atmosphere.

What can I say! So glad we have discovered this place. The food was fantastic. Beautifully cooked, succulent and tender meat, sauces full of flavour and spices without being overpowering or stuffed with msg. Service was spot on. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. All in all - fab! We'll be back!

Called for Saturday lunch for a drink and decided to stop for their Thai lunch. The pub itself is quaint and old with a good selection of beers and wines, the staff went out of their way to be friendly. The thai meal itself was second to none although you could have the special lunch of starter and a main... More

This pub is absolutely incredible. The staff are amazing. The thai food is PROPER. not some westernised crap that they THINK we want to eat, its legit. The beers are proper ale. The lager is cold. You cannot go wring here. The shiznit.

Referred to as The Hidden Gem - WoW! Lovely old pub, thatched, flagstone floors, friendly people and great staff! Had a fantastic lunch deal of Thai food - not what you would expect in this setting but beautiful fresh and tasty food. A hidden gem that really shouldn't be hidden!

We went for a drink at lunchtime in this beautiful thatched pub and had a shared Thai mixed starter as a light lunch. It was so good that we booked for a full meal in the evening. Tiny restaurant which only seats twenty or so, so best to book. Wonderful authentic Thai food at very low prices, and presented excellently.... More

A great traditional British Pub and returned perfectly back to how it should look since the new owners took over. Plenty more beers on tap and a welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly staff and well run. Really good pub garden. The Thai food is fabulous and worth trying. Would recommend.
