I spent 8 nights here on a business trip and must say I was disappointed. Reading previous reviews (while already at the hotel) it is sad to note the only time management responds is when it is positive feedback. That sort of gives an idea on the attitude there. Lets start with good points. Location was good, as you could...

Having spent 4 nights in the Grosvenor hotel on business, here is a hotel that can best be described as languishing in the relegation zone of the mediocre league! Bland, dated uninspiring decor in the room, disinterested staff and shoddy housekeeping are what you get for £55 a night B&B. The same towel I put on the floor after my...

I stayed here for one night in August, I had some concerns when I looked at the hotel web page and saw that it had been featured on 'The Hotel Inspector' TV show. When I arrived it was clear that a recent refurbishment had take place, I was greeted by the chap on reception who gave me my room key,...

stopped here for one night as we were at a wedding party in rugby, looked at the reviews and expected the worst. The hotel is very friendly and serves a very good breakfast, didn't eat at night but the food looked very good. The rooms are a bit run down but apparently are undergoing some refurbishment, bar ,reception and restaurant...

Sash broken on bedroom window and unfortunately no air conditioning so room got quite stuffy. No modesty screen on bathroom window. Good location as only 5 minute walk to town centre. Good sized, free carpark. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff. A few little tweaks and this good hotel could be excellent.

We paid £63 for a double room B&B. Good points - a decent sized free car park, close proximity to the town centre, good service and choice at breakfast. Bad points - being ignored initially upon check-in, no bath in the room, no shower cap, people had been smoking in a non-smoking room, tatty curtains, the water didn't drain out...

The hotel looks quite nice outside and the lobby was neat, but that was about it. Our twin room was spacious but really shabby. The moving beds were not comfortable, and the bathroom wasn't so clean. The shower curtain had many stains and mould spots too. The corridor carpets were full of suspicious-looking white powder. The window was difficult to...

I stayed here for two nights. The first night being the hottest night of the year. The room I had was large but the bathroom was quite small by comparison. The bed was comfortable but the decor was a bit of mixture. The carpet and bed cover were very contemporary but the swags and tails and chintz curtains spoiled the...

You can tell they are trying to update the hotel, which is an old Victorian residance by the skip in the carpark. The reception is bright and airy and the stair carpet clean, usually a good start. Yes, the heaters on the wall are about 20 years old and the bed, a high steel framed bed with a metal end...

I stayed one night, as planned. It served a purpose but I was not impressed. I'd been told it had been recently refurbished. If so - very poorly done. Wall paper along the hall way was peeling off. The curtain rail in the bedroom was hanging off. One of the wall sockets was very dirty. I shall not be staying...
