Stayed here for 2 nights with no complaints, room sized room with TV and Hairdryer, also good sized bathroom, bed comfortable and clean as was the bathroom and towels breakfast two mornings was very enjoyable, well presented and cooked. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Zoe on reception, would stay again as very handy for visiting Durham and Beamish.

Stayed here new years eve Room was okay but litrally at 7am the next day (bearing in mind had not slept much by this point and was on the drink the previous night) there was a woman walking down the hallway knocking on every hotel room door and the bursting in shouting 'housekeeping!' If you are on a budget the this is just the place. Cheap cheerful with no frills (because they add cost). It worked for me as it was somewhere to stay after work the hit the road early the next day. The welcome was warm and the rooms clean and tidy.
