This is a truly secret gem. My partner and I visited for a Saturday evening just to get away for the night. We expected just an ordinary run of the mill place but we were very pleasently surprised. The place itself is beautiful. Wonderful rooms which are large and cosy and filled with everything you might need for your stay....

We liked the location very much. It was quiet , private and away from the City but also with in reachable distance via car. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and of high standard. Hosts were very kind and friendly. If visiting New Castle would definitely stay here again.

We were so fortunate to find this wonderful place to stay - two weeks before Christmas after a very long journey to visit a family member in the area. The Grange is a Georgian stone house which has been wonderfully modernised into a very comfortable place to stay. The rooms are really spacious, the beds supremely comfortable and everything needed...

Paul and Penny can be justifiably proud of the Grange. Lovely room, beautifully appointed (we stayed in the Ridley); only drawback was lack of shower in the en suite although it was nice to chill out in a hot bath. Breakfast was fantastic making full use of local produce. Paul and Penny are really friendly with tips on where to...

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, we are proud of The Grange and love it when guests enjoy their stay with us. Having opened the B&B less than 3 years ago we obviously had everything to do, and that's a lot in an old house, including the grounds and walled garden! There is always a programme of continual maintenance...

We had a lovely stay at this B and B and Paul and Penny were very welcoming and the rooms were sumptuous and beautifully decorated and the breakfast was fantastic all using local foods. Paul gave us lots of local knowledge about where to eat and the location was very convenient for our visit to Newcastle.
