Booked a table in the bar as we had dogs with us. Get to the pub to be told they don't take bookings for tables in the bar by a very curt young lady. Luckily the 'manageress' came to our rescue who was very helpful....More

Hi. The Pub/Inn is approximately 7 miles from the Downs. There are two routes, one via the main road and one the scenic route but both about the same distance and travelling time - about 15 minutes (allow 20 for traffic and more if there's a race meeting to attend). Don't know how much a taxi would cost but ring Ashtead Taxis who are very helpful on 01372 390309 and they should be able to tell you. Hope this helps.
