This is a pub, Pubs serve beer. The London Pride (overpriced at £4.70 a pint) was more like Imperial Leather Soap. Horrible taste. What is worse is that the staff thought it was acceptable. There was an excuse that it was prepared in the morning...More

Thank you for your comment, we appreciate all comments especially from locals.
We haven't changed the price of our beers, wines and sprits recently. Although we are a Brakspear Pub we have London Pride on for our locals and its a good selling line for...More
Delicious food, friendly service and atmospheric country pub setting.

Hi. The Pub/Inn is approximately 7 miles from the Downs. There are two routes, one via the main road and one the scenic route but both about the same distance and travelling time - about 15 minutes (allow 20 for traffic and more if there's a race meeting to attend). Don't know how much a taxi would cost but ring Ashtead Taxis who are very helpful on 01372 390309 and they should be able to tell you. Hope this helps.
