We where really looking forward to a nice lunch on Saturday after a big walk. Pie was ok, salmon was ok, liver was dreadful, overcooked hard and rubbery. The mustard mash was gluggy. It can't be hard to cook better then this.

Comfortable pub dating back to 16th century with welcoming staff and selection of Brakspears and guest real ales. Excellent soup and pulled beef sandwiches with horseradish at lunchtimes. Popular with walkers from Mickleham Downs.

This is a pub, Pubs serve beer. The London Pride (overpriced at £4.70 a pint) was more like Imperial Leather Soap. Horrible taste. What is worse is that the staff thought it was acceptable. There was an excuse that it was prepared in the morning...More
