Attended a wedding here at the weekend. A bit disappointed with all the scaffolding around the hotel (they say will be removed by end of july 2017). But lovely big room, clean and the staff were very helpful for sorting things out for the wedding. Next door to Hampton Court and 1 min walk from train station so good location....

Booked a romantic birthday treat with Thames views in suite room. When we arrived there was no parking as all the builders vans had taken the parking and the building was covered in scaffold and nets. My husband had to argue with staff to arrange parking as he was directed to park in public high paying parking and fund it...

We stayed for that same party at Hampton Court Palace, and are amazed at some of the good reviews this hotel has received. Perhaps we were just unlucky? We had booked a deluxe room several weeks before the event in the hope that we would get a good room as we were staying 2 nights. Fat chance! On arrival we...

The only good thing to say about the hotel was the staff who were helpful and friendly. On complaining my bill was reduced by 25% (not on my request), however it was overpriced anyway. Room was big and clean but dated and extremely hot, only one towel provided. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Bar area with seating outside had great...

My husband and I recently attended a function at Hampton Court Palace and stayed at The Mitre - it was so convenient to Hampton Court Palace and we enjoyed our stay there. We booked a superior room overlooking the river and the size of the room and bathroom were fine, if somewhat a little old fashioned but very clean. The...

A very good, (completely out of our league) friend of ours was celebrating her 70th birthday and hired Hampton Court Palace for the celebrations. Needless to say the evening was unbelievable but as it has nothing to do with staying at the Mitre, there's no point in saying more. However, as it was a very special do and the Mitre...

What a wonderful stay, the friendliness and care by ALL the hotel staff is tremendous. It was just like returning to a warm and very comfortable home of friends. The staff are some of the best we...

I am having a difficult time rating this particular hotel. The location cannot be beat. It is literally across the street from Hampton court palace. It is an old building. Likely hundreds of years old. There are steps to get to the lift (3-4). All the floors creak as you walk around... it's very charming bed and breakfast feel type...
