This isn't the most glamorous hotel in London. Nor even in Croydon. Its an old office block with the top four or so floors converted into small bedrooms. I visited twice in two weeks. It is in a great location just across the road from East Croydon station - which is an easy journey into Central London or beyond. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket open early til late just around the corner. It can be very good value for money. On a few occasions I've paid less than £30 which is very cheap for a place 20 minutes from the city. On these trips. reception were very friendly and welcoming (although I don't know why they insist on ID given lots of more expensive hotels don't ask). The corridor smelt a little but the room was clean. I was put into an accessible room which is twice the size of a normal room. The normal sized rooms are pretty tiny but OK for a one night stay. There are no real facilities in the room. No TV but you can purchase a wifi connection. But you have your own bathroom area. And unlike some EasyHotels, the rooms actually have windows! There is now air conditioning and it works well. If you want a cheap, clean place to stay for a visit to Croydon or even to Central London, this hotel is worth considering. But don't stay here if you are fussy and want much more than a bed and a shower.

This place was ridiculously cheap and right next to East Croydon train station. The most basic hotel room I've ever stayed in, it is OK for a quick stopover. Wouldn't have wanted to do any more than that. There are better options in Croydon for a little bit more.

I stay here frequently for work related reasons. Every time I stay here there are problems. These problems have included: damp rooms, black mould on the walls, soiled bedding, fire alarms that can’t be turned off and a dog barking in the room next door. Another issue is the fire doors in the corridors on all floors which slam shut when opened - which makes sleeping late at night / early in the morning very difficult. But the most regular problem - which happened again on this visit - is the total absence of water (hot and cold) from the room in the morning. This means that the toilet can’t be flushed and I go to work unwashed (again)! I report the water issue to reception and their response is either to shrug their shoulders, walk away or offer a free WiFi voucher (£5)! How is this good customer service? On this occasion there were others in front of me also complaining about no water in their room. I don’t recommend this place to anyone - it fails as a hotel on so many levels!

We stayed here for 3 nights as we needed somewhere cheap so knew what we were getting. Just a shame the rooms were not a little bit bigger as you could just about walk around the beds without hitting your legs. The bathroom was in a wet room style except its so small the toilet gets soaked. You also need to use a towel afterwards for the floor otherwise the whole room is soaked. You can pay £10 if you want your room cleaned. Perfect location for East Croyden Station, buses and tram. Friendly staff and coffee machine downstairs.
