Treated myself to 5 nights in Fig Suite which was a wonderful hideaway for my first solo visit to Pennyhill Park. I was offered great advice by Abi as I wanted to ensure I had a quiet room to myself to make the most of my quiet week and her recommendation of Fig Tree suite was spot on... I originally booked for 4 nights only but extended my stay a night as it was so good... The food was good but as a solo guest it would be nice to have a wider option of dishes on the room service menu...

The spa itself brings a wide variety of different rooms (steam, sauna etc) with some recent welcome additions over the last couple of years... The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious... Lovely molten brown products in the room... The only issue is no lifts and rooms can be quite spread out which causes an issue with my mums mobility but it’s an old hotel so only so much you can do...

...From going above and beyond at point of booking when needed to change the date due to unforeseen circumstances, from the point of arriving at check in they said Happy birthday, to a beautiful room and added little extras to make it so special...

When we arrived (at 2pm) our room wasn't quite ready so we left our luggage and headed to the bar for a celebratory drink and then had a game of pool... By the time we had finished, our room was ready (3.05pm)... We were shown to our room by Rebecca and was delighted that we had been given a room with a four poster bed and a rill top bath as requested by me in an email to reservations previous to our arrival... There are a great number of different experience rooms, such as herbal sauna, ice room, foot spas and the hydro-pool is (in my opinion) the best in area...

However, overall the staff were very nice to the best part as was the hotel and spa, so we still had a nice time all be it leaving with a bitter taste in our mouths...

Having been the maintenance manager of a 5 star spa hotel of similar standard for a couple of years I am slightly critical, however will keep my review true and unbiased... Overall we found the service in the bar and restaurant leaving a lot to be desired on this occasion, even when I arrived for a pre dinner drink with only one other couple sat in the bar area it took over 15 minutes for one of the 5-6 staff to come and take my drinks order... This was just the tip of the iceberg... Breakfast was absolute chaos, substandard and overall very disapointing for a hotel of this standard... However, overall the staff were very nice to the best part as was the hotel and spa, so we still had a nice time all be it leaving with a bitter taste in our mouths...

The first evening we waited 45 minutes for our starter to arrive... The restaurant wasn’t busy so no clear reason for this delay... We decided not to order pudding as we didn't want further delays... There are also clearly insufficient staff on at breakfast time... The young waiter looked extremely puzzled at this reqiest- but we knew there was one because we have been here before and the breakfast menu is on your website... The second morning, the menus were out but no one came to take our order... Quite simply, if you are going to have a breakfast menu in addition to your breakfast buffer, please can you make it someone’s job to take the orders!...

...The tablet provided did not work for us when we tried to order in-room breakfast for the next morning. We went to reception and told them, and also put in our breakfast order there and then... Unfortunately our breakfast failed to materialise and when we eventually managed to speak to the restaurant over the phone (after being cut off 3 times), it appeared they did not have our order... The manager comped us breakfast and gave us a late check out for noon... The lovely waiter who bought our breakfast later supplied us with a mini bottle of champagne, his own idea, and out of his own pocket, as he felt bad for the service we had had... A big shout out to him (sorry, we didn’t get his name)...

Went for a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my mum's retirement. Beautiful setting, lovely menu of delicious, elegant yet unfussy food with superb service from Maria and the team on the day, and from Jo beforehand helping us to change our booking... We even got a lovely personalised dessert to wish my mum all the best after all her years of hard work at the airport :-) Would highly recommend to anyone looking to mark a special occasion - thank you Pennyhill Park...

...On this occasion the service was poor, very slow although we don’t want to be rushed waiting 45 minutes for the scones to arrive and having to ask twice is too slow. We asked 3 times for drinks and they arrived in the end... The waitress came across as very cold and inefficient...

...I was disappointed by the level of service provided by some of the staff which fell short of expectation... We were unable to request information on treatments directly from reception at the spa or reception at the hotel for restaurant information... Instead we were invited to use the tablets provided in our room for information and bookings, or to go to the hotel website for information / phone numbers to call the reservations team...

...As soon as we arrive we are welcomed back like friends returning to visit but I always feel it is genuine and not forced in any way. Pennyhill is a dog-friendly hotel and we try to take our wee man Leffe with us each time, they work extra hard to make him feel welcome too!... I have never been to such an amazing spa and on this visit, we decided to treat ourselves to full body massages for the first time in my life and all I can say now is I have truly been missing out!... My friend and I were visiting the Surry and West Sussex area and stayed here for 9 luxurious nights. The elegant country house atmosphere of the hotel was lovely and so relaxing but what made the stay exceptional was the staff... From the moment we checked-in until the morning we departed, every single person was friendly, cheerful and most helpful... We were made to feel quite welcome and everyone from registration/concierge to the restaurant and spa staff was eager to do anything they could to make our stay outstanding... One naturally expects fine accommodations in a five-star hotel but these days with all of the workforce issues following the pandemic, one doesn’t always receive the level of service to which we’ve been accustomed in the past... Kudos to the staff and management for maintaining their high standards!...

It’s hard to find words strong enough to explain how absolutely incredible Pennyhill was for us . From start to finish of our 3 night “Wedding” stay every single detail for ourselves and guests was out of this world ... On arrival the wonderful, kind , personal, caring and yet totally professional reception staff were superb and made sure I was at total ease for my wedding the following day ( I arrived with my bridesmaids etc !)... every one of them were full of smiles and made all their guests feel very special ... In particular I must mention the truly amazing Natalie and Chelsea who couldn’t do enough for us ... Customer Relations Manager James Pettitt was utterly delightful, he was ready to do anything at all we required , his pure professionalism and kindness together with his impeccable smartness and joyful personality shone out in a way we have very rarely experienced in life ... He is an absolute credit and the biggest asset for Pennyhill ... The food was outstanding, the service first class and in particular Kapil , who saw our day through with the most incredible calmness and made sure we and our guests had every detail of every aspect of our day reach 100% perfection ... Ellie from wedding planning was such a great help to us and we are forever grateful for her input in preparing our spectacular day ... Our guests have countless times told us how beautiful their rooms were and the spa day to follow was just as wonderful and so many will be returning ... Thank you to absolutely every one at Pennyhill… you are fantastic...

We have visited twice before and had a fantastic experience... The restaurant couldn’t cope with a half-full breakfast session... Wrong dishes brought out, served cold and extremely slow service... Ours wasn’t the only table to have this poor service and food, several were complaining... And unfortunately the worst is when I got in touch with Guest Relations they are aware the spa has issues but they are leaving the repairs until the end of the year... It seems my visit was poorly timed to fit with their schedule... The have offered me an upgrade on my next visit, but we won’t be back...

What a wonderful hotel with incredible staff. Sinny welcomed us like VIPs and we were treated like royalty from start to finish; especially our two children... We are lucky enough to have stayed in many beautiful places, but the personal touches here made Pennyhill the best hotel we’ve stayed in... Sinny, the best Guest Relations manager we’ve ever come across, heard our son talking about how he loved honey, and you can see from the picture what welcomed us in our room from the hotels own hives... From the thoughtful touches like this, as well as colouring books and sweets for the kids, through to the exceptional service and facilities this hotel is 6*... A special thanks to Sinny, to Mohammed our wonderful waiter who served us by the Lily pond with such kindness, ans to Kai who helped us by the pool- you made a family holiday with two young children a luxury experience...

I stayed in pennyhill park last week with two friends to celebrate a birthday and had the most amazing stay... We were checked in by a lovely girls named holly who was very friendly and helpful... Our room was beautiful overlooking the spa, was very clean, spacious lots of character... The spa is the best best spa I have ever visited, pure relaxation and so many facilities... Never was over busy, was peaceful clean and incredible!... There was so much to use in the spa we spent 5 hours there and loved using the outdoor hot tubs in the evening and the outside hydro pool... There was so many thermal suite rooms to choose from and the indoor pool was fab with underwater music!... As we spent so much time in the spa we had some delicious room service and the next morning we enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant... Breakfast was all of a great quality, the buffet was kept stocked fresh and hot!... Thank you for such an amazing stay that we will never forget!...

The extra touch of a bottle of sparkling wine and a personalised cake was well received... As for the breakfast choices, this is the star of the show for us... Our treat of a Buck’s Fizz added and extra sparkle to start the day... The games room provides lots of fun such as table football and pool as well as an option for use of the cinema room... All in all Ideal for our daughters who enjoyed one or two competitive games of table football!... A superb stay and cannot recommend the venue, staff and facilities highly enough...

Just back from another amazing break at Pennyhill Park, our go to for a special treat away from the daily grind, and yet again it delivered on every level. This visit was actually to celebrate my 40th, and they went over and above to make this a special and memorable stay... Spa is simply one of the best we have ever been to, as just so many spaces to sit, relax, unwind and feel pampered...

My partner and I visited as a getaway treat, and simply put, it was flawless. It's no exaggeration to say I was completely in awe of the building, the grounds and the spa in equal measure... It's clear that any and all associated with the building take a tremendous amount of pride in their work, always looking to insure our stay there felt particularly special... The room was generously sized and beautifully designed, maintaining the high level of opulence with the rest of the building, partnered with wonderful views overlooking the spa and surrounding grounds... I took a great level of interest in the grounds themselves, from established woodland, native hedgelines and well maintained planting, even their own bee hives for home made honey... The meal itself was divine, with the most informative and courteous of waiters in Amish and Adam, not least the chef Goncalo, a man who's talent I will never match... It goes without saying spa is beautiful, offering a total escape from every day routine... It is impossible to feel anything but blessed spending time in the many rooms and pools on offer... Without doubt the loveliest stay I've had anywhere, and with special thanks Jay and Megan who truly couldn't have done more for us... I'll be visiting here long into the future, no question...

...One of the nicest spa’s I’ve ever been to. Huge pool and it’s hardly ever got more than 2 people in... 5 jacuzzi’s all amazing plus loads of different steam and sauna rooms plus the heated beds were an extra treat!... We had breakfast lunch and dinner all at Hillfield which was delicious and very good service... The breakfast was one of the best we have seen!... So much choice and freshly made pastries... The atmosphere in the bar area was also great with a harpist at lunch and a guitarist in the evening... We can’t wait to come back in the summer and use the outside huge pool as well!...

...The service was outstanding, the spar was amazing and the food was lovely... When we arrived we had an upgraded room with individual cakes and a bottle of sparkling wine and a hand written note...

...We had no problem with the spa and the wonderful facilities there. Our room, a plush junior suite, had a huge bathroom but the bedroom was rather small for the price... The tablet provided did not work for us when we tried to order in-room breakfast for the next morning... We went to reception and told them, and also put in our breakfast order there and then... The manager comped us breakfast and gave us a late check out for noon... The lovely waiter who bought our breakfast later supplied us with a mini bottle of champagne, his own idea, and out of his own pocket, as he felt bad for the service we had had...

Went for a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my mum's retirement. Beautiful setting, lovely menu of delicious, elegant yet unfussy food with superb service from Maria and the team on the day, and from Jo beforehand helping us to change our booking... We even got a lovely personalised dessert to wish my mum all the best after all her years of hard work at the airport :-) Would highly recommend to anyone looking to mark a special occasion - thank you Pennyhill Park...

The spa was amazing, couldn't fault it at all, it had excellent facilities and changing areas... We were unable to request information on treatments directly from reception at the spa or reception at the hotel for restaurant information... Instead we were invited to use the tablets provided in our room for information and bookings, or to go to the hotel website for information / phone numbers to call the reservations team...

...The hotel sent champagne and chocolates to our room, which was lovely, and the room itself was very comfortable, and had a horizontal shower in the bathroom!... All the staff in this restaurant individually impressed us, all made the time to stop and talk, and explain the food and wines... The second night in Hillfield was also very good, chilled vibe and also great food... Also want to mention the lovely breakfasts, really lovely food, freshly baked pastries, and again lovely friendly staff... Both the outdoor and indoor pools were so relaxing, and we tried all of the spa pools, thermal rooms etc...

...We had a lovely warm welcome by the reception team, and then had lunch before being shown to our incredible suite - The Granary (thank you so much!)... A personal, enclosed terrace with outdoor furniture and sun loungers completes the feeling of having a private space to relax in... All the fixtures and fittings are of the sort of standard and quality you would expect from an establishment like Pennyhill Park... The Latymer Restaurant Discovery Menu is a must - and my advice would be to take the Chef’s suggestions for the upgrades, they are definitely worth it!... This was a meal to remember and cherish, and luckily, the course by course cards helpfully given to you throughout the meal mean you have a chance to reminisce about the sheer perfection!... Thermal Heaven is fun (didn’t do the plunge pool, but husband who has been practicing his Wim Hoff did!)... and the couples spa experience was great too... I am currently sitting by the outdoor pool in the September sun, and I definitely DON’T want to go home!...

My friend and I were visiting the Surry and West Sussex area and stayed here for 9 luxurious nights... We were made to feel quite welcome and everyone from registration/concierge to the restaurant and spa staff was eager to do anything they could to make our stay outstanding... One naturally expects fine accommodations in a five-star hotel but these days with all of the workforce issues following the pandemic, one doesn’t always receive the level of service to which we’ve been accustomed in the past...

A group of girlfriends and I had a lovely day trip at The Spa, to celebrate a special occasion... The entire hotel was very clean and well organised... In addition to this, we had some excellent food for lunch... The spa facilities were beautifully designed and there was a variety of different spa rooms / treatments to pick from... I would 100% recommend this place for friends/family trips or romantic couple breaks...

...From start to finish of our 3 night “Wedding” stay every single detail for ourselves and guests was out of this world . On arrival the wonderful, kind , personal, caring and yet totally professional reception staff were superb and made sure I was at total ease for my wedding the following day ( I arrived with my bridesmaids etc !)... every one of them were full of smiles and made all their guests feel very special ... The grounds and buildings alone are just superb for the occasion and again were mentioned by many ... The food was outstanding, the service first class and in particular Kapil , who saw our day through with the most incredible calmness and made sure we and our guests had every detail of every aspect of our day reach 100% perfection ... Our guests have countless times told us how beautiful their rooms were and the spa day to follow was just as wonderful and so many will be returning ...

...From the moment we arrived the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was outstanding. We stayed in one of their suites named Wentworth which I would strongly recommend... Besides a spacious lounge there was a garden equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers with forest views... The delivery and flavours of courses, accompanying wines and service were all of an exceptional quality... Although this all comes with a luxury price , for a special occasion it’s certainly good value... Of course there are all the facilities, again of a high standard to occupy guests during their stay...

What a wonderful hotel with incredible staff. Sinny welcomed us like VIPs and we were treated like royalty from start to finish; especially our two children... We are lucky enough to have stayed in many beautiful places, but the personal touches here made Pennyhill the best hotel we’ve stayed in... Sinny, the best Guest Relations manager we’ve ever come across, heard our son talking about how he loved honey, and you can see from the picture what welcomed us in our room from the hotels own hives... From the thoughtful touches like this, as well as colouring books and sweets for the kids, through to the exceptional service and facilities this hotel is 6*... A special thanks to Sinny, to Mohammed our wonderful waiter who served us by the Lily pond with such kindness, ans to Kai who helped us by the pool- you made a family holiday with two young children a luxury experience...
