Response from WhitbreadHotels, Guest Relations Team at Premier Inn Burton On Trent Central Hotel

Hi there, Thank you for your review for our Burton On Trrent Central. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have the best experience when staying with us recently. We can imagine your disappointment when you arrived to find the restaurant was closed due to a gas leak. This wouldn't have been ideal for you especially after you had been travelling back from the remembrance service. It's also very disappointing to hear about the cleanliness of your bathroom. Our rooms are cleaned thoroughly prior to guests checking-in and checked by the Head Housekeeper and Duty Manager to ensure cleanliness standards are met. We are very sorry if this wasn't done on this occasion and we will make sure feedback has been passed on to be followed up with the Housekeeping Team. We are also very sorry the beds were not as comfortable as usual, as it's certainly not what we expect from our Hypnos beds. We will make sure that feedback has also been passed on about this as well. Once again we are very sorry for any disappointment on this occasion, but we are confident on your next experience you will have a much more enjoyable stay! Kind regards, Danny

I often stay at Premier Inn's on my travels and this first visit to this one was not disappointing. The high standards of the Premier Inn group were fully met. Friendly and helpful staff made the stay very pleasant along with the usual room quality.

No opening windows in the hotel. It can feel a bit claustrophobic. Like all Premier Inns, it was clean and efficient but impersonal. You need transport but staff can arrange a taxi into Burton within 5 mins which costs about £5. Good value place to stay.
