Other than a very difficult, short and poorly marked exit from the highway the rooms were adequate, comfortable and very clean. We had rooms on the canal side and heard very little highway traffic which was great. The staff were very accommodating and helpful when our room was booked for the wrong day.

I’ve been here a few times before, we prefer this location to the one in the middle of Burton, as it’s quiet, the rooms are lovely, the staff go above and beyond, which makes for a great stay. There is no food, although takeaways deliver, if you drive there’s a great pub called The Waterfront. In the Barton Marina (which is a must to visit) there are cafes so you can grab breakfast. You can either walk or drive. There’s activities for children, a cinema, artisan food shops, a Thai restaurant, lots of different things to enjoy. This added onto a perfect hotel like this, makes for a great stay.

A bit out of the way to find even though on the main A38! As it goes a very comfortable place to stay but no frills. Staff helpful and had telephoned to check mobility issues. Room clean etc as would expect.

Very close to A38 which although has a 50mph limit on it was at times like a racing track. You took your like into your hands trying to join the stream each morning as this was the only way off the site. Had to use flyover to get to other side of road if you needed to go south. Barton Marina supposed to be across the road - omitted to say there was a canal in between!!

A very good, comfortable stay as always. The canal runs at the back of it so lovely walks to be had too. Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. On the A38 which is a very busy road but traffic noise is not a problem.
