We decided (kind of last minute) to go down to Alton Towers with the kids during their summer holidays. We found the ReadyCamp Alton Star Camping Site online and thought it looked perfect for our short trip. The price was £192 for Monday-Friday which seemed a cracking price given that the site is 1mile from Alton Towers, included a tent... More

We purchased a caravan in 2013 and first place we took it was Breen, this was too over crowded but enjoyed it. We then tried this place here in the November last week it opens, absolutely loved the place, nice and quite, no club house just yourself and the outdoors so to say. We loved the site that much that... More

Lovely site and booked for myself , nephew , his pal and his Mum going to Alton towers . Arrived with a camper van and the lads slept in a small 2 man tent. Sloped site is not ideal so if staying longer this would be an issue. Only there for one night so not as much of a problem... More

We visited over the weekend as a base for a family trip to Alton Towers. On arrival offered a choice of large pitches (we need a really large pitch for our tent and 4x4 with trailer. Superb location for a visit to Stoke and the Potteries especially Alton Towers. Clean well looked after site. Added bonus of a superb pub... More

We stayed in a tent , arriving Friday evening until Sunday. The staff were very welcoming .The site grounds are immaculate . Toilets, showers , dish washing area all very clean. I did not use laundry room so I cannot comment . The showers were lovely and hot, push button style, but the water stayed on for a long time... More

We have had a seasonal pitch at this site for the last couple of seasons, the season runs from March to November. This year improvements have been made to the seasonal pitches that were previously on grass and are now hardstanding. The site is kept very clean by the wardens who work very hard. It is a busy site and... More

After years of being asked to go camping, I finally gave in and agreed to "camp out" after a day at Alton Towers. Well, I've never had a better nights sleep. Camping is the best! I really think the site helped, staff were so helpful and friendly. The pitches were big and the best bit was the heated bathrooms. That... More

What can we say except what an amazing experience. We came as a group of 6 Two adults with mixed aged kids of 16 13 10 and 6. Every single one of us were really impressed with the tent amenities and facilities. The staff are so friendly and cheerful and always happy to help. The camp is spotlessly clean toilets... More

Good play area which was good and bad as even though it was supposed to close an hour before dusk - lots of wild kids were still on the play area until 10pm - not great if you are really near the play area with young ones who can't stay up that late and are trying to sleep. Staff to... More

Great site very clean and tidy . Staff very friendly . Toilets immaculate. Pitches decent size. Kids Park ok but a little small . Excellent location for Alton towers visit. Nearest pub 10 mins walk . Next one is a long walk down a steep embankment with no path walking in the road not recommended at night. During the day... More
