With prices in Porlick Weir out of reach we stayed here fully realizing itwas right in the middle of the village right at the busy road. At night however it does die down andwe managed to sleep with the window open allnight! The hotel could do with upgrading, Too full room and bathroom needs serious revamping. It was however a... Owners Mel and Paul made us very welcome, and served a great Full English breakfast. Fresh milk in a thermos to make our stay a little homier. Great sheets and towels, 200 year old building and full of history. Full size bath, great view of the hills and the city of Porlock. Wonderful location to walk to the Weir, marshes,... More

We stayed here last weekend and can only rave about the greeting we got, the great breakfasts and how dog friendly this hotel was. Would recommend it to dog owners and anyone walking the South West Coastal Path.

Great welcome from the owners Paul and Mel and very quickly checked in. A character full hotel which was good but could be improved with a little work. Outside rear seating area nice in the sunshine. The bar served a good quality German lager and a good wine choice. A slight doggy smell in the bar/reception area but not that... More

Very pleasant hotel which exceeded my expectations - dinner and breakfast particularly good. Room basic but comfortable and very good value for money. Although overlooked main road - not much traffic during night. Only difficulty was limited parking - had to use public car park a couple of minutes walk away.

This hotel had the most amazing brand new fluffy white towels ever! Met a lady while out walking who told us the hotel was under new ownership. The bed linen was very clean and seemed new. Breakfast was nicely cooked and tasty. I would like to return in the future and see what the new owners have done with the... More

We went to this hotel for the first time. The owners were some of the most welcoming and friendly hotel owners we have ever met. The hotel is truely dog friendly - even bringing sausages for their breakfast. The food was fantastic and not over priced. I would recommend this hotel to any one but particularly dog owners!
