Was working in Bridport and needed 2 rooms...this was the closest we could get at short notice, and really glad we found it...it is an old fashioned pub, with friendly staff, serving well kept real ales, and serving good old fashioned pub food - steak chips and beans with no frills. The rooms are quite basic and functional (even old...

A much appreciated review gents. Your friendly cook and owner!

First things first for the price we paid I believe this is good value. The pub itself is very old, a proper pub! We really like these little old pubs so that was a positive. Owners were very welcoming and loved our dog. The room was perfectly adequate, we managed to get the room that allows dogs. Bed was comfortable...

Food was fantastic, shame the kitchen ran out of a few of the basic vegetables to go with the meal. Otherwise brilliant. The free sweet compensated. Highly recommended . Not an easy pub to find, set in a lovely location. Beautiful village. Bar staff friendly, and very welcoming. And a garden centre just up the road, so when you've filled...

Decided to do the decent thing and give my wife a break on Mothers day, so reserved a table here for lunch. One of my better ideas, if I say so myself, a good crowd in here with obviously the same idea. The meal was a choice of three roasts with accompanying veg, and all cooked to our liking. A...

David, many thanks for your review which is greatly appreciated. We always try to make mothering Sunday lunch special for everyone. There is no joy in bringing the family out to an overcrowded restaurant where proprietors are cramming as many tables in as they can (and as many sittings usually). We pride ourselves in our home cooked food at all...

We were staying at a local farm in North Perrott for three nights including Valentine's Day. We ate in The Manor Arms every night. The food was good honest pub fare and the staff were friendly Had a nice roaring fire.

I would just like to personally thank you for taking the time out to write a review following your 3 night stay which included Valentines Day. As you know we didn't put on a special Valentines meal that evening and saved our festivities until the following weekend when you had returned home. It is pleasing to note that you enjoyed...

We have stayed here several times over the last 3 years as they allow dogs to stay in one of the rooms, and the staff love dogs. The staff could not be more helpful, they are such a friendly hard working group of people. The cooked english breakfast with cereals and juice is very filling and the evening meals are...

Stayed overnight on our way to Bridport. Booked a room at the Manor Arms as it was close to our destination. Arrived late as we got held up in traffic so couldn't check-in until 6pm. Not a problem as we didn't have too long to wait. Was greeted by Di, the chef, who was lovely. Told us all we needed...

We were told that the pub was closed at 2pm so we tried to arrive before then - managed to get there at about 1.55pm. they got us booked in & showed us to our very cosy room in the Hayloft. Went out for the day & back later for a couple of drinks in the pub. Connor (behind bar)...

We stayed here for a local wedding. It was only £60 for the night and did the job, but the curtains in our room were completely see through, so got woken pretty early with the sunlight through the window. Bit budget/greasy fry up for breaky, but was very nicely served by nice friendly staff. Did the job.

Hello Matt and thank you for your response although I am rather hurt by your somewhat negative comments. I do take the point that the curtains are quite light on a bright and sunny morning but we go out of our way to make sure all our guests are well looked after and comfortable. Don't forget this is an unpretentious...

We arrived and were very pleased to be able to get something to eat straight away before getting ready to go to a wedding nearby. Room was fine for an overnight stay just don't expect the Ritz! Staff all friendly and we had a good full English before leaving.
