This is a lovely site, peaceful (road is quiet and didn’t bother us at all), lovely clean facilities, great dog walk area and local pub. We could not fault it. We really relaxed and all the other campers and the wardens were very friendly and helpful. Loads of nice local walks too but if you have a dog just be aware of tics as it is a sheep and bracken area. We walked to Winsford and can recommend the tea rooms. We also visited the Local pub - Badgers Holt. There have been some less favourable reviews but we thought it was great with a large selection of food and vegetarian and vegan options. We will definitely be back!

Stayed six nights with friends, perfect place to relax and unwind, Great for the dogs to play in the river in the dog exercise area, we paddled too. No kids BONUS!! Facilities were 1st class, clean and well maintained. Wardens Steve and Debbie were great, very helpful, Paul and wife friendly and welcoming. location of site made it easy to explore the area. The wood pigeon was a little annoying at 4am perched in the tree next to my tent, but as a whole, fab place. I'll be back....

Spent one night here during a tour of the southwest. Nice and quiet next to the river Exe which borders the side on one side with a mill stream on the other. has a well mown lawn area alongside the river and is dog friendly. Showers are clean and hot and there is also a microwave. Well kept and tidy. Has a small shop with basic items, free WiFi and TV connection giving basic channels and some freeview. They will supply a lead if required. Staff very friendly. Good base for Exmoor. Will try the local pub, the Badgers Holt and review later.

A couple of years since last at the site but thankfully nothing had changed. Still a very well run site, excellent facilities and the wardens extremely helpful. Close to local pub and although on a "main" road very quiet. Chip van on the Wednesday is a bonus too. Looking forward to our next visit.
