Visited with family, ordered chips, they were lovely but also ordered a jug of orange and jug of black current squash, £3.00 per jug, which we thought was a little expensive especially as the squash was really poor!!!
Booked for 2 nights, 12 inches of snow meant we stayed for 3. Good food, drink and friendly staff stopped 'cabin fever' being a problem. Rooms are all different but good basic English country pub/hotel standard
Overall the hotel although old was looking a bit tiered and needed an update especially the bedroom. Food in restaurant was OK but again needed updated menu for the 21st centuary.
