A last minute booking through Booking.com, primarily booked based on its 9.4 out of 10 rating. Reviews were good too on tripadvisor, so made the decision easy. As lots have said, Richard was a very welcoming host, and the room was clean and tidy. The double bed was two singles tied together which made it a little uncomfortable, but a...

The Corncroft guesthouse is very well situated at the heart of Witney in Oxfordshire (England). Being on the doorstep to the Wychwood brewery attracted us to the guest room and our other family members had highly appraised this guesthouse. The guesthouse whilst large on the outside has a very homely feel to it unlike the clinical feel you sometimes get...

10/10 from beginning to end. Cannot praise Richard, the landlord, highly enough. Very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. Excellent breakfast which i defy anyone to finish! Cozy rooms with quality bedding, period furniture and all beautifully clean. Toiletries in bathroom and biscuits and little chocolates on the hospitality tray are a nice touch. The resident dog 'Louis' is adorable...

Stayed at this lovely guest house on the night of the 13th January. We were greeted by the very friendly landlord who was exceptionally helpful. The room was lovely and despite it being on the ground floor it was very very quiet. Our daughter had a normal sized bed which was great as she normally ends up on a camp...

Stayed here with my wife in December for 3 evenings. Ideally situated on outskirts of town but didn't suffer from noise at all. Room and bed comfortable and host/staff very nice. Largest English breakfast I have ever had. Many of the rooms are upstairs so worth enquiring if this could be an issue to ensure you get a ground floor...

We only stayed for one night, but would be more than happy to stay here for longer and will certainly be back when we are next in the area. We had a lovely four poster bed, plenty of space and everything was perfectly clean an presentable. Very good breakfast buffet, with eggs cooked to order and all in a very...

Well what can I say it's 6.30 and I'm still not hungry... On our future visits to Witney we will not hesitate to stay at Corncroft Well done Richard...

Stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding nearby. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are lovely. The bed was huge and very comfy. There was a tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. The rooms have great facilities for a wedding- ironing board, iron, hairdryer, full length mirror. All meant we didn't have to go looking for these...

Richard was very welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful room with freshly laundered white sheets and every comfort considered. Great breakfast. Really good pub opposite. Our room was at the front and whilst it didn't bother us, we could hear people returning from the pub on Saturday night.

Stayed for one night in July, after spending a night in Abingdon at a more expensive hotel. This one was, by far, the more comfortable and a better room. The location is perfect to visit Witney or surrounding Cotswolds. Parking was easy, even on a Saturday afternoon. Our host was lovely, as was his little dog (who joined me for...
