My friend & I just needed a stop over due to a day in nearby Bampton. Booking over the phone direct was easy and I was given a good deal as I was booking in advance - I dealt with Katie. Hotel was easy to find, and although the car park is small we got a space. Our room was... More

Excellent service; the team went the extra mile to ensure I was happy with my stay. The room was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and breakfast was first class. I felt looked after and would definitely return when next in town.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night whilst exploring the Cotswolds. Without a doubt one the friendliest places I have been for a long time. Food, service and room were amazing. A must stay if you are ever in the Cotswolds.

My niece & her Husband visited us from Australia so we though we would visit the fleece for a meal. We have been here before for a Sunday carvery which has alway been very good, but never to their a la cart menu. We knew that the venue would be to its normal high standard & the staff were excellent... More

My husband and I were very disappointed by the Fleece. We were to stay 2 nights but after checking in and shown to our room which was the very last room in a never ending maze of of steps and stairs, we decided one night of terribleness was enough. Went to use the bathroom and the toilet seat was half... More

We booked an overnight stay on a Saturday night. Initially, we were shown into a dismal, grim and dark Room 4, which also smelled musty and damp. I was deeply disappointed but tried to make light of it and suggested to my husband that we get out quick and go to the bar. It was only a place to sleep... More

I had a really good night in a comfortable bed in a nice room - BUT: I was originally put into an interior room with no windows -only 4 small skylights near the top of a 20 foot high room - and 2 of them were open with no means of closing them. When I complained I was readily offered... More

This has been one of our favourite places in Witney for many years but tonight was a disappointment. The service was slapdash (drinks spilled not once, but twice), the food was average considering the price and the whole place seemed to be lacking a bit of attention (an assortment of chutney and sauce jars without their lids on sitting on... I came here after a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did. The pub has a great lively atmosphere at the bar and a slightly quieter restaurant area through the back. The service was excellent. Our waiter was enthusiastic and very attentive and I liked that the specials were left by your table on a blackboard. The... More

The head of house is more interested in those just getting drunk than those who are dining. Watching people clearing their own table and having to go back to the bar to order is unacceptable. Don't listen to David Cameron this is not the best place to eat in Witney, this is the 3rd time we have been extremely disappointed.... More
