Had heard and read good reviews so decided to give the Bird In Hand a try. It was a cold evening but as we walked through the door hoping to be greeted by warmth - there wasn't any. We purchased drinks and sat at our table which wasn't in the restaurant where others were sat but in the bar. Had...

We were a largish group sitting down for evening dinner. We didn't use the sleeping accommodation. The meals were tasty and of good value and portion size. The bar staff and waitresses were all extremely lovely, personable and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We would definitely be going back. I only didn't give it 5 stars as I would reserve...

Had a great evening here as part of a large party. The pub is in a great location and is rugby and Welsh themed. As my husband is a rugby fan and Welsh this worked very well! Food was good, perhaps a bit too much cream in the sauces for me, but otherwise everyone enjoyed their starters and mains. Good...

A cousin of mine first chose this lovely place to stay for our annual cousins reunion in 2012 and we enjoyed it so much, we (14 of us) went back again last September, they made us feel so welcome. The food is fabulous and they give a great service. The rooms are situated in a little garden next to the...

If you have not been there before it's gorgeous. Very tastefully decorated I could have moved in you just feel very comfortable from the...

We have often passed this attractivel looking establishment saying 'we must try it' so we were delighted when friends suggested going there for lunch. We were not dissapointed. Apparently under new ownership for the past couple of years the interior is spacious and well appointed. Our waitress was pleased to discuss the menu and two of us followed her suggestion to...

What a find: totally by mistake which made for a really pleasant experience (unless you hate the Welsh and their rugby prowess). The important elements - food, drinks, service, cleanliness, and 'welcome' are all in place. Plenty of food and wine/beer choices, good prices, peaceful, and decorated with refinement and surprises. The surprises are the owner's collection of Welsh rugby...
