Langsmeade House was built in 1924and Mike Hailwood former world motor cycle legend was actually born here in 1940. The current owner Marianne goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is enjoyable as possible. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable. When we arrived made tea for us served in the conservatory in a beautiful glass teapot... More

Stayed 1 night in this delightful B & B. The owner described it as 'Quirky" - it is, but also delivers on all comfort fronts - the rooms are large and delightfully decorated in the style of the house, the beds are extremely comfortable, the linen is divine, full tea & coffee service in the room (including fresh ground coffee)... I stayed at Langsmeade for fifteen days whilst on a business trip and it was a pleasure to come back to each evening after a long working day. The house and gardens are truly stunning and I was warmly received on my arrival. My room and bathroom were immaculately clean, very spacious and beautifully warm. The little extras in my... More

This B&B is in a very good location if you are visiting Le Manoir Aux Quatre Saisons. We stayed in the double en-suite room which was spotlessly clean and quite large. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.

What a wonderful experience, from the fresh flowers to the coffee press (no instant coffee in these rooms) to the extras in the bathroom should you have forgotten anything. We had a perfect weekend and will most certainly be back. If you are a lover of Art Deco, you will be in heaven here. Take the time to admire the... More

We stayed whist in the area for a family wedding. What a surprise - this is nothing like anywhere I have ever stayed before! The house and grounds are magnificent, we received a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We felt more like family friends than paying guests and that is rare in this day and age. I... The house is a lovely big old building with lots of character, it is very clean and has a beautiful well kept garden Marianne was a very welcoming host. If there were a hundred stars we would give it the lot. We had been made welcome from the start, The house has all of the charming features of 1924 when it was built. Our room was very large with private bath and shower and the bed was really comfortable. Immaculately clean despite the millions of quirky ornaments and fantastic... More

We arrived around 10:30pm on a Friday, which we mentioned, and was no trouble at all. We were on the second floor in a large room at the front of the house and had a shared bathroom, which was very large and had no problems encountering other guests. Breakfast was selected the night before and we sat in both the... More

This was my first trip to a new customer based in Thame. I was hoping to avoid the usual premier inn and travelodge and instead decided (based on the previous reviews) to use Langsmeade House as my stopover. I could not have been happier. The house was immaculate; incredibly clean. Marianne met me when I arrived and allowed me to... More
