Once a fine Regency residence, the hotel is situated in the beautiful market town of Faringdon, close to Oxford, Shrivenham and Swindon. Surrounded by nine acres of landscaped gardens,Sudbury House can offer a quiet break away from it all, yet still being close to local businesses and towns, including RAF Brize Norton, Cranfield University and the Defence Academy.Close to the main Swindon to Oxford Road, the A420, the hotel is within easy access of the M4 and M40. Refurbished and redecorated completely in 2015, the Sudbury House is a great base for the Oxfordshire and Wiltshire counties.

Had a lovely weekend at Sudbury House with Great Little Breaks. The rooms were clean, staff very helpful and the food was excellent. We dined on the first night. Easy to find and nice gardens and grounds to sit in.

Hotel was a modern hotel and was fine, not to happy with the rooms overlooking bins with sun shining in very hot, I understand no air com in UK , but staying in the heatwave of july, and not able to open the windows was to much, insisted of opening the blocked windows but did reluctantly. In contrast to Wood Norton hotel , Evesham the service and meal was excellent and star quality for very reasonable prices, No problem to eat outdoors on the terrace even tough a long walk for the waiters with 2 terraces, very friendly staff, and accommodating, nothing was to much asked.

We stayed for two nights in a standard room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The room was comfortable and quiet with adequate tea and coffee making facilities though no water was provided on the second day. The food was very good despite having a reduced menu though it did become further reduced on the first night due to shortages during service. It was also very nice to be able to eat outside in the garden. Special mention must be made of the breakfast chef who produced freshly cooked breakfasts to order using excellent ingredients. The location is good being on the edge of the town but within comfortable walking distance. There are well kept gardens around the buildings and a footpath from the hotel to Faringdon Folly which has excellent views of the countryside. The staff were friendly and helpful.
