This was a lovely, restful home base. We'd breakfast and eat dinner in the garden room, a conservatory that opened into the owner's beautiful garden. The wildlife was entertaining and the bird watching opportunities great fun. Sadly we didn't see the badgers or deer, although we did spot a deer elsewhere on our travels. The property had what we needed... More

Thank you very much for your kind words and for being such lovely guests. It's good to know our Garden Room came into its own for you; it is a great space from which to enjoy both the gardens and wildlife. FYI, The Mary Rose Exhibition in Portsmouth is due to re-open in the middle of July and promises to... More

We have just completed a most enjoyable 5 days stay at The Barn. This was our first visit and we most certainly will return. The location is perfect if you like a quiet retreat surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside. It's in close proximity to the well known Gliding Club at Lasham and is also very convenient for numerous National Trust... More

I stayed at the Barn for two weeks and it was perfect. Set in a gorgeous location looking out over rolling fields. The Barn has everything you could need. Delicious eggs from the hens in the garden and great coffee too.. Sarah was very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone.

My 2 friends and I just spent the one night in the Barn in Medstead. So my only complaint was that we had to leave too soon! It would be perfect for couples, so was cosy for the 3 of us... but perfectly appointed and we appreciated the sloe gin and the milk! Very thoughtful. The dog also enjoyed his... More

We visited The Barn for a week at the end of June, initially as a base for Goodwood FOS but then as somewhere to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of work. The Barn is very well appointed and the kitchen certainly has everything you could need. We have stayed in 1 room accommodations before which have... More

Thank you, Annette, for your lovely review and glad you enjoyed your stay at our holiday cottage. We remember sweltering during the heat wave, too, but it was worth it just to watch a host of butterflies flitting throughout the lavender nectar bars just outside the Garden Room, and elsewhere in the gardens around The Barn - think you'll agree! We enjoyed three nights at the Barn hidden away in the quietness of the North Hampshire countryside. The Barn is a tasteful conversion with one large room, a separate bathroom and good size conservatory overlooking the house garden. The large room is partitioned into two areas - living and sleeping - with a very comfortable double bed and a sofa... More
