We were there in early July as our elder daughter was getting married nearby. A very pleasant peaceful location but easy to walk into Abingdon. The Lodge was very spacious and well equipped and it suited us well. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the whole place needed redecorating and felt a bit tawdry round the edges. Our experience...

This was a dog friendly cottage no. 1 with a £25 cleaning surcharge. They obviously didnt use it to clean the carpet . The window had been wedged open before we arrived and was difficult to close but you had too because it wasnt safe to leave belongings in the room. I did close it- went to Oxford for a...

On our arrival at reception we were greeted by a very friendly lady, and in fact all the people we met were the same. We were "encouraged " to use a taxi for our visit to Radley College,a journey we were told would cost £5 or £6 each way,but was actually £12 there and £11 back! Our accommodation was situated in...

Nice location, off the main road but only 5mins walk to the town or river, very quiet at night. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. They were prepared to serve breakfast a little earlier for us since we had to be elsewhere by 0830. Breakfast was good, super scrambled eggs. The room we had was a twin, OK for...

We stayed in The Nest for a week whilst my daughter was at Cello School nearby. The location was perfect & the barn conversion was beyond our wildest dreams! Everyone was very welcoming & even our dog was made at home with a lovely blanket & dog bowls. Stunning views, a well equipped kitchen & comfy bed -what more could...

My husband and I stayed in The Granary cottage for the weekend - it was fabulous! Clean, well equipped and cosy. The site itself is in walking distance of the town but retains a rural feel, nice and quiet. We found some lovely walks along the river to take our dog on. Dogs are welcome at the barn which was...

Fantastic venue , we spent 2 nights with our energetic 5 year old son who absolutely loved it.. nothing was too much trouble for the staff, our boy was delighted to have breakfast in bed.! Clean, comfortable , beautiful gardens to read and relax and walking distance to the charming town of Abingdon .. Only down side was the pool...

The location is great, close to the river and town centre. Execellent for those who appreciate countryside. Beds are uncomfortable, mattresses are old and lumpy. Not a 4 star accommodation and definitely overpriced for the service you get.

These are basic chalets with paper thin walls ,extremely low bed dated,80's style bedspread , would look much better without and just white duvet covers , seemed clean until lifted loo lid to find a large present!! shocked had to buy bleach and scrub ,all else was clean so can't understand how this was missed. However setting is lovely very...

The room was terrible, thin walls so you could here all next door, need and furnishings out of a bad 70s sitcom, the place is in a nice location but the whole thing needs upgrading and looks like it hasn't been decorated for decades, everything is very austere and the breakfast was pretty naff. 4 star, no way!
