Terry is a wonderful host. She sent a personal e-mail as soon as I sent my booking on a booking site. She also sent very helpful directions. The breakfast was scrumptious. My only tip is that the property is not very visible from the main road so keep your eyes peeled. The property is on an access road (slip lane),...

Thank you for your very kind words, I am only sorry that you had difficulty finding us! We do have quite a lot of exterior lighting to assist guests in the dark as well as a big sign at the front of the property - but the problem is that we are more or less hidden behind the bus stop!...

Teri personally greets you and ensures you have everything you need. The Abbey is perfectly placed to explore delightful Abingdon and Oxford. Although on a busy road the property is set back with a service road and is quiet with ample parking. Rooms and en suites scrupulously clean with robes, toiletries and everything you could need. Teri has loads of...

Dear Margaret, you have really been most kind in your review and it is extremely satisfying to know that you have appreciated the efforts that I - and my lovely team of ladies - have gone to. Thank you so much for your kind words, I can only hope that you soon have another opportunity to visit us again. Terry...

The room was spacious comfortable and breakfast was cooked to order at a time of our choosing and all of this was provided by the eminently helpful Mrs Boswell (in between recommending and booking restraints for guests).

Thank you for your kind response, we do always try and provide assistance to all our guests - and that does often include making recommendations about places to dine, etc.! Hopefully you will soon get another opportunity to visit us again. Terry Boswell (Mrs) Proprietor

We booked a room at the Abbey Guest House as we needed to be at another venue in Abingdon early the following morning - so our stay was brief. The venue came well recommended and we were not disappointed. From the personal email from the proprietor to the final farewell with directions to our venue, we were made to feel...

Thank you so much for your very appreciative review. It is always pleasing to be recognised for the efforts we make to satisfy most guest requirements - although we could not profess to please or satisfy everyone! The aim is simply to treat our guests as family and we try to ensure that they have their needs met - be...

I stayed here the night before the Abingdon Marathon. Terry was very welcoming and friendly, and made me feel welcomed and made special arrangements for the marathon runners to make sure that we had a shower and enough cake to feed a small army before we hit the road. Will definitely be booking in here again if in the area.

Thank you for your kind words and - for those reading the comment about the shower and the cake - this was supplied to welcome the runners back here after the event! All runners that were staying here were welcome to return and have a shower here, as well as tea/coffee and cake before returning home - and all at...

Nice clean and tidy very friendly owner, the room I stayed in had three single beds would have done the three of us who had stayed rather than having a double room as well, no local bus to radley college, had to use taxis.

Thank you for your kind comments, although I am puzzled by your reference about the beds as the rooms allocated were as requested. There are pictures of all the rooms on my website as well as all the sites hosted by the various 3rd party online travel agents and guests usually stay in the rooms they have booked - that...

Thank you for your very kind words, it is very gratifying to know that my efforts to assist guests have been appreciated. This guesthouse bends over backwards to cater for guests with facilities for those with disabilities and hypo allergenic rooms. Terry is welcoming and organised. The one downside for me is its proximity to the main road and so the traffic noise. If, like me, you find night-time noise difficult to sleep through, ask for a room at the back of...
