This guesthouse bends over backwards to cater for guests with facilities for those with disabilities and hypo allergenic rooms. Terry is welcoming and organised. The one downside for me is its proximity to the main road and so the traffic noise. If, like me, you find night-time noise difficult to sleep through, ask for a room at the back of... More

I stay on a very regular basis in hotels all over the world and have never really considered bed and breakfasts before, however due to no spaces in the area I decided to risk a b&b. Abbey guest house is a total gem and if in the area again I would definitely stay there. From the welcome email from Terry... More

We stayed here before and after a family wedding. Proprietor was very helpful with finding a great place for an evening meal after our evening arrival. Breakfast was lovely. Owner makes great efforts to ensure the space is accessible to all. She succeeds.

Everything about this guest house is superb! When we booked the e-mail response given our circumstances (an autistic adult daughter & a need for soya milk) was so understanding & welcoming, we were impressed before we even arrived. The details of how to get here as well as the fact that there is a virtual tour of the guest house... More

It is extremely gratifying to know that we have met your needs as that is always our aim. We try never to differentiate between our guests irrespective of any 'dis' ability as our ethos is that everyone should experience the same (hopefully!) high level of service, and the intent is that everyone should feel comfortable and welcome. Regretfully there is... More

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly & helpful welcome, with kettle on and offer to dry clothes when we arrived very wet after rainswept walk. Good choices and good quality breakfast. Would stay here again if in the area. Slightly out of town centre but easy to get to. Nice pub nearby for evening meal.

My partner and I stayed here for one night while moving out of Abingdon. Terry the owner was friendly and welcoming, took us in at very short notice, and very willing to accommodate our difficult timings (I had to arrive quite late that evening). As a place to stay that was convenient for commuting to Oxford (for myself) and getting... More

I work south of Abingdon and after looking around I found Mrs Boswells guest house. It is lovely and spotless and the rooms cleanliness is of an extremely high standard. Mrs Boswell (Terry) is very welcoming and arrival is always met with tea/coffee and cake. To the rear of the house is a lovely garden, and car parking is not... More

If you are in the Abingdon/Oxford area for a few nights - look no further than this guest house which is, as so many have said, spotless and of a very high standard wherever one looks. The owner, Terry and her staff insist on ensuring everyone is made welcome and the facilities for relaxing in the lounge and in the... More

After a 4 hour journey from Wales - I relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. Terry, the owner, had time to chat over tea and biscuits in the lounge area. I was on my own, visiting family and nothing was too much trouble for Terry to make my stay comfortable. I have provisionally booked to stay again.... More

I can’t recommend the Abbey enough! I had a wonderful welcome from Terry the owner, a nice cuppa, biscuits and a chat with some great advice about the local area. The room was immaculately clean and the house all over was completely spotless. Her attention to detail in the rooms is great with things like bathrobes, cotton pads etc. The... More
