We were looking for accommodation close to Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest for a cycling holiday and Boon Hills Farm was perfect. Lesley and Doug made us feel very welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The bedroom was spacious with a shower room ensuite overlooking the beautifully kept garden and fields beyond. Guests had the use... More

Boon Hills Farm B&B is perfect for anyone travelling on a budget. I think you get decent value for money, given their rates, if you overlook many failings of the B&B. I'm giving the B&B a brutally honest 2/5 because I'm not overlooking the failings. Both my room and ensuite were unclean and full of hairs from previous guests. My... More

Dear RunninOnCoffee, I appreciate you taking the time to comment on your stay. I was mortified to read that you didn't find the room up to scratch. I have been running the bed and breakfast for the best part of 35 years and never once has a guest commented in this way. I feel terrible about this and do wish... More

Stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of November as we wanted to be fairly close to Thoresby Hall and Clumber Park. This B&B was perfectly situated, only 10 to 15 mins away. This is a working farm, but very peaceful and homely. We had a lovely big bedroom with ensuite, for the little extra it cost (£4 to £5)... More

Wanted a change from the travelodge and support local communities. Stayed at this working farm for the night of 31st October. Arrived about 5pm and was given a warm welcome by the owner who showed us around. She seemed very nice and informal. We had access to our own lounge with TV, tea/coffee facilities, board games, magazines etc (like at... More

Had a wonderful weekend away here in the "hideaway" room, beautiful building with a comfy bed, well furnished with a homely feel. On an actual farm with a few sheep, chickens and horses around but silent at night time. Nice lounge are with wonderful cooked breakfast in the morning. A little in the middle of nowhere, didn't try it but... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, lovely surroundings. My daughter loved the fact we were staying on a farm. The owners are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious, the best sausages we have tried in a long time. Thank you for a lovely stay

My daughter booked here as we were going to a concert at Sherwood pines. The only downside was that we were only there 1 night - would have been lovely to of stayed for 2 nights. The grounds are lovely and its set back from the main road so theres no traffic noise. The beds were sooo comfortable so that... More

Our normal B&B was full so booked in here. Great welcome and bed was so comfy and place very clean. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was the additional walk to son's house. Would highly recommend and probably stay here again. Good value for money.

Working farm and horses, too. In the country, peaceful but not that far from the rest of the world. Convenient for Clumber Park and other Sherwood Forest activities. Rooms and breakfast just fine. Lovely garden that puts mine to shame. We were there 2 nights and would return.

A really pleasant experience the Palmers are very friendly and accomodating, I do not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Its a short walk to the local, good beer here or a short drive in the opposite direction to some very good food.
