Firstly, our immediate impression on driving in to the car park was that the building looked tired and in need of some TLC. The car park was a good size so parking wasn't an issue. Check in and check out times are not great, check in isn't until 4pm and you're supposed to leave by 10am. All that said the... More

Stayed at the Dukeries so we could visit the Robin Hood festival. I won't lie, when we turned up, I wasn't too impressed as it seemed 'just a pub'. Even booking in, we had to fill out the page of an exercise book to provide our details. But thats were the negatives stop really. We were showed to our room... More

I stayed at this lodge for one night on business. When entering my room, the corridor smelled of weed. When I opened up "Room 8", the smell got even worse. I went down stairs to ask if I could change rooms. I told the woman behind the desk that my room smelled of smoke (marijuana) and that it was unexceptable.... More

This is quite an impressive building; the staircase is lovely. The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a short stay. We were on the top floor and had good views. Food in the bar/restaurant was good value and typical pub food. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good although a little early (from 7 to... More

We stayed here as a family in 2 rooms to attend a nearby wedding. The staff couldn't be more helpful with a quick check-in and they even arranged a car to the wedding venue for us. Breakfast was good old-fashioned english with all the trimmings - just what we needed after a night of partying! Rooms were spacious, clean and... More

I found the bedroom to be meticulously. The bed extremely clean and comfy. The staff welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was filling, though I agree about the sausages being not the best. Felt for an over night stay for a wedding that it was a fair price. Stayed in room 6

Been for Sunday roast today and even though I was told all vegetables were fresh, I was shocked to get instant mash and not fresh potatoes. Meat was a bit tough and my husbands meat on mixed grill was dry. Don't think I will be returning .
