I stayed here last night with my partner. Upon arrival the hotel smelt damp and was quite a bit outdated. The room was dated and dirty but had most facilities needed; there was tea, coffee, sugar and 1 mug but there was no kettle. There is no restaurant so we had to travel 6/7 miles for food and drink as...

Stayed for convinience for a wedding at Ye Old Bell. Had to ring a mobile number that was stuck on the door at arrival. Some gentleman showed us to our room to then inform us that should we come back any later than 10:30 then there is a £10 surcharge per hour. This is not stated on the booking website...

We went for our 2nd wedding anniversary as a low cost night away, and we had one of the best, most fun evenings we've had! This was mainly due to adapting to the hotel which when we stayed was 'room only' which wasn't advertised anywhere when we booked and being out in the country there was limited taxis that didn't...

This place is a bit of an enigma. It is huge with 40 odd bedrooms and banqueting suites and bar (most of which are closed). It was part of a hotel chain and is now in private hands. It needs a huge amount of investment and tlc as it is tired and lifeless. Whether the present owner can do that...
