I would like to respond to this review as the past owner of this B&B which since November 2015 has been taken over by Susan & David Parmley who run a very successful Bed & Breakfast. The booking you are referring to of your brother was actually booked with myself in April 2015 via Toprooms. Due to myself and my...

We enjoyed our 4 nights with Susan & David, breakfast was great and Susan cooked us a delicious evening meal. Susan offered to set a table in the dining room and make us a pot of tea when we were tempted by the local 'chippy'. Wooler was an ideal location for our visits to Bamburgh, Alnwick and Chillingham and David...

After a 13 mile walk during St Cuthberts Way walk we were warmly welcomed at Rockliffe House. Our room was on the ground floor which was a bonus for us, it was well equipped with tea, coffee etc, a comfy bed, light and airy. Breakfast in our opinion was a bit too much, but we chose the night before and...

A one night stay whilst walking the St Cuthbert's Way. We had a lovely room with a vast range of drinks and biscuits in our room. A nice touch was the supply of bath robes. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice to suit all tastes.

I highly recommend this B&B. It combines a very friendly atmosphere with touches of real class. It does everything one looks for from a B&B and then goes several steps further in every regard, from the range of drinks and biscuits in the rooms, to a breakfast which includes home made muesli and additional nuts and dried fruits. Not to...

Enjoyed a three night stay in a lovely room with every home comfort. Very relaxed atmosphere and including a wonderful, locally-sourced breakfast with lots of options to suit all. Really enjoyed our stay as Susan and David made us very welcome and couldn't do enough to help us make the most of our stay. Would definitely return!

Although we only stayed the one night our experience at Rockliffe House was most pleasant. We were warmly welcomed by Susan. The room was in excellent condition showing an attention to detail. Breakfast was great. We will certainly want to stay here again.

I stayed with Susan in her old place in Bamburgh so when planning a family trip to the area to visit friends, we decided to call Susan again and we were told she moved to a new place in Wooler just a few miles over, wasn't bothered about that do to it still being in the same area and would...

Certainly not a boutique hotel but very welcoming and friendly. Our room was a little tired but fine for a one night stay on our walk. Try to book in to the Italian restaurant ( apparently very good but we were unable to get in) as eating in Wooler very restricted.

I stayed in this BnB to spend the night whilst travelling down to England. I stayed in a very comfy room that had an en-suite. I wanted to be on the road again early the next morning, so I didn't elect to have breakfast. The room was clean and the hosts very friendly. There was tea & coffe facilities and...
