Visited here a couple of times recently and have been very impressed. Warm, cozy interior with a welcome to match. Food was good on both occasions, particularly enjoyed the seafood pasta, short reasonably priced wine list. No hesitation in visiting again when next over at Kielder.

It was an August Friday lunchtime so it was surprising to find that the place was almost empty. I am guessing that this is a common thing as the menu was quite limited. However that can only be due to the remote location as the food was very nice. There just seemed to be no-one around - the tea room... More

Stayed here two nights and really enjoyed It. Perhaps not the most luxurious of rooms but well equipped and comfortable, adequate for our needs. If you don't like walking a few yards to dinner or breakfast this is not for you! We thoroughly enjoyed our two dinners and we loved being in the bar listening to the locals gossiping about... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and was very impressed by the lovely rooms, with all facilities, and a very comfy bed! The owner is very welcoming and helpful. I had thought that being next to an Inn it may be a little noisy but it was actually very quiet to stay in, even though obviously a popular place to... More

We used the B & B as a stop over for our Reivers coast to coast bike ride. There was 6 of us and we had 3 twin rooms. It couldn't have been any better for what we needed. We had safe storage for our bikes, the rooms were beautiful, the food was amazing and all that set in most... More

Thank you Trail blazers for the review. We do get a lot of Reiver Trail riders and it seems to fit the bill after a hard day in the saddle. More

Second time of having an evening meal at this inn whilst in the area and just as good as the first if not better. A proper old style village inn, friendly staff, warm welcome and excellent food. Had evening meal with my husband during our honeymoon and he said the steak was one of the best if not the best... More

Just returned from another great trip to the Pheasant Inn, we've never had a bad stay here. Always good food, comfortable with attentive staff, can't wait to go back hopefully the weather will be better next time but you can't have everything.

Lovely location, clean and well equipped rooms, comfy bed, great breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. We also had dinner here and both the cheese soufflé and fish platter were delicious. Only 5 minutes drive to the Water and about a 15 minute drive to the Observatory.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and found it very pleasant. It is conveniently located for both Hadrian's Wall and also Kielder Water and the Observatory. The owner and all the staff were friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. They advised us to be careful not to turn the bedroom light on unless the curtains were drawn,... More
