Amazing breakfast, fantastic views, comfortable bed and plenty of parking. Conveniently located for exploring the area. Dogs welcome, a real gem of a find. Rob, Tegan and the rest of the team, keep doing what you are doing we will be back.

After staying in places all over England, I can say that this is one of the best. Great hosts, great breakfast, and perfect location for beach walks, visiting Holy Island, Bambrough, and other Northumberland sites. The hotel itself is very bright with wonderful views. We stayed in Gun Rock which had a well appointed and very compact bathroom. We also... More

Our recent stay at St Aidan's was a most recommendable experience. We stayed for five nights in one of the Annexe Rooms with Bertie, our dog. The room was large with a lovely en-suite. The decor was restful and the bed comfortable. Attentive hosts, (Rob and Tegan and Diane), and superb breakfasts and Bistro meals, cooked by James, added to... More

This hotel looks quite old fashioned from the outside but has been renovated within to a high standard with a fresh seaside theme. We were very warmly welcomed. Our room was quite small, but we had a bath as well as shower and the most wonderful sea views. There was a well stocked honestly bar. A delicious breakfast was served... More

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. All the staff were helpful. Although the hotel is quite an old building our room was large and the en suite was very modern with good quality fittings. The bistro was not open during our stay so cannot review that but would say the breakfast choices were very good. We were given... More

The location is excellent right on the front, my room was superb, very clean with everything for your comfort. the food was second to none with great choice of breakfast cereals and cooked food, the evening meals were great a tad pricey but good choice of menu. I would definitely like to stay again.

This place is a little gem, run by rob and Tegan who cannot do enough for you to make your stay and enjoyable one. From the moment you walk in when Rob greets to to the moment you leave. We took the whole of the Hotel for our group, everyone enjoyed their stay and would come back for more. We... More

I have recently stayed at St Aidan's Hotel with a group of friends for a Nordic walking holiday for three nights. The owners, Rob and Tegan were so accommodating for our large group. We ate in the Bistro on two evenings and the food was excellent. The breakfast was freshly cooked and a choice of fresh fruit and juices. They... More

Just spent four nights here - it was more like a bed and breakfast (with bistro) than an hotel. We were in Knock's Reef room at the front on the first floor overlooking the sea, with the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle in the distance - stunning view - we also appreciated the binoculars! The room was quite small, nicely... More

I had a fantastic 2 night stay in the Megstone Room. Upon arrival parking was not an issue on-site and Rob was waiting for me by the front door and gave me a warm welcome and carried my bags in for me. Everything was clearly explained. My bedroom décor was fresh and airy. It is compact, but has everything you... More
