We had a great evening at St Aidans, lovely meal for my sister's 60th birthday. The owners and staff were all friendly, the food was top quality and we had such a beautiful view up the coast towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. As the sun went down, there were dolphins in the sea. Memorable visit. Extraordinarily high-quality restaurant... More

The location is brilliant, with a short stroll into the village. The views from our room, Longstone, were fabulous. Great range of teas, coffees, biscuits and chocolates. Fluffy towels and even binoculars! Rob and Tegan are lovely hosts and provided a superb choice of breakfast dishes, with yoghurt, fresh fruit, berries and cereals, all before a range of hot dishes.... More

I have eaten in the Bistro a couple of times, which has always been enjoyable. On this visit I actually stayed in the hotel and enjoyed every minute. We had a top floor room (as a twin set up) and the views over to Bambrough, Holy Island and the Farne Islands was spectacular. The bathroom was very spacious with bath... More

I first started looking at this hotel about a couple of years ago and noticed that negative points were starting to appear in reviews. Since then the new owners have updated the property and individual rooms and on the strength of the the latest reviews I booked the Brownsman room for July of this year. Our stay proved to be... Stayed at St Aidan for a birthday celebration. Stayed in The Brownsman room which was situated at the front of the hotel with its own parking space. The welcome at the hotel was warm and friendly and Rob the owner was extremely helpful. We had a superb meal in the Bistro. The young chef James Ash produced the best sea... More

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff are superb and extremely friendly. My vegetarian diet was fully catered for and the breakfast was lovely. Our dog friendly room had a sea view and was decorated to a very high standard. I can not fault this place. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had an excellent week at the St Aidan. Rob and Tegan are working hard to make a success of the hotel having taken over there Just over a year ago. It is dog and walker friendly and the location couldn't be better, being a few minutes walk to the excellent beach and into the town. Good breakfasts with friendly... More
