Found this establish very comfortable and homely. The owner was very friendly and likeable. He had decided to cease cooked breakfasts, advising me I could well do without given my size! However, this was part of the friendly 'banter' I enjoyed with the owner. He provided excellent continental breakfasts as an alternative. Overall first class and friendly & I enjoyed...

The first impression was the warm welcome and having been shown to our room found it far surpassed expectations. Everything spotlessly clean and the level of equipment including consumables was far better than I have seen before. I am retired now but when working spent two or three nights each week in hotels and B & B. The breakfast was...

We stayed here after a friends wedding at Eshott Hall. Excellent location, only 10 minutes from the venue. Ricky was so helpful and accommodating, he allowed us to check in and leave our bags and car on the morning of the wedding, giving us a key to the front door to ensure we could get in after the wedding. Room...

Stayed for two nights at Northumberland Cottage and cannot say enough about much we enjoyed our wonderful stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and every possible consideration given to the needs and comforts of guests by Ricky, our host, who was as entertaining as he was welcoming. Well situated for access to all places of interest and excellent places to eat nearby....

We had a very pleasant ground floor room which we were thankful for at our age and although the en-suite was small it was quite adequate. Incidentally, our friend had an upstairs room which was large with an enormous bathroom. Ricky was very helpful and his breakfasts were wonderful, as were the views. We would definitely go again and would...

A "proper" B&B as we have always known them. Superb room with right balance of traditional and mod-cons. Plenty of tea making facilities in the room with fresh milk available if you want. Quiet, very friendly and a good base for the NE Coast or Hadrian's wall etc. Continental breakfast breaks with full English tradition, but was excellent. Easy parking...

We had two rooms booked in this B&B for a wedding we were attending at nearby Eshott Hall (only 1.5miles away). It was incredibly handy for the wedding destination. The rooms were very well turned out, and the beds were comfortable. The proprietor was a very friendly guy who was very proactive. The room we had on the top floor...

We had an excellent stay here. Ricky, the owner, is such a nice guy with a very caring nature and a lovely sense of humour. We had the double bedroom in the roof space which was fantastic! Great views over farmland, super comfortable and a delightful en suite. Breakfast is again excellent. Okay no hot option, but the fresh fruit,...
