The 4 of us loved it, blissfully quiet at night, high quality linen, a great host, super dinner and breakfasts, in a glorious setting, what more could you want. We picked this B and B as we were planning to visit Alnwick, and the gardens, and as a centre it worked really well.

Five of us stayed for three nights at Thistleyhaugh. It is a working farm supplying organic beef to Waitrose, and also raising lambs and poultry. The welcome is very friendly, the rooms well fitted out and comfortable. We took the evening meal option on the first night, and it was so good that we stayed in the next two nights...

Zoe has just put on a fantastic meal for my mum's 100th Birthday Celebration, we had a Sherry Reception then a traditional three course meal followed by coffee and chocolates. The food was simply delicious especially their own Organic Duck. We would like to thank all at Thistleyhaugh but with a special thanks to Zoe. Thanks again Higgy

What a lovely evening we spent at Thistleyhaugh Farm. I have been living in Australia for the past 30 years and am currently visiting family in the UK. This place was a wonderful find, just as I remember good northern hospitality. Enid and Zoe went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were lovely, great beds,...

To stay at Thistleyhaugh Farm is to be a guest with a family in their own home. The welcome is genuine; nothing is too much trouble; the decor eclectic and personal; the rooms are large and comfortable; the food is delicious and the location sublime. Northumberland is truly a county waiting to be explored. If you can, stay in for...

Long way to travel for birthday party but worth every mile. Stayed in 2007 and still same very high standard. It's a working, welcoming farm. Enjoy The best bed and breakfast we have stayed in for a long time

Enid and her daughter-in-law Zoe are charming hosts on this working farm producing organic meat of all types. Take the opportunity to visit the animals that are penned nearby. The room is comfortable, and the fresh milk provided for tea-making is a nice touch.

This place is distinctively different from anywhere I have stayed before. Thistleyhaugh is a very elegant farmhouse set in the middle of a large working organic farm. Enid is the lady in charge and her welcome and all round warmth and genuinely caring approach to guests made us feel relaxed and very special. It was lambing season, so we stroked...
