The room we were in had wonderful views of both the sea and the statue of St Cuthbert, with plenty of room. The bathroom was very clean although the shower was a bit difficult to operate. Unfortunately there was a pair of shoes under the bed which had obviously been left by a previous occupant. The staircarpet was in need... More

Enjoyed a delicious crab sandwich on tasty bread. The tuna sandwich was remarkable and the nicest sandwich she had eaten in England (a visiting Slovakian said). The chap behind the bar was a Londoner working there for the season. He was lovely, helpful and amusing. The real ale was very good.

We stayed here for one night at the end of walking St Oswald's Way. Friendly staff, a good evening meal, a nice room and a good breakfast, so we were very satisfied. But in common with most places on Lindisfarne island, it felt a bit expensive for what it was.

Lovely hotel with great location. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the island once day visitors left before high tide. The staff were friendly although fairly young and inexperienced lacking the personal touch. Found it unusual not to have met the owner or the main manager. For example, check in and check out was very basic with not... More

Considering they were busy today we knew there was a possibility of a wait for our food. They do state they cook to order. Lovely sandwiches with fresh granary bread. Kids chicken nuggets meal was ideal and its fresh chicken in batter not mc Donald's. My son certainly enjoyed it. Very welcoming and friendly service. Would definitely return.

Called in for coffee yesterday morning, about 11.30. Looked good from outside and had lovely view. Unfortunately, the man behind the bar, possibly the Manager, couldn't be bothered to give you the "time of day"!!! There was only one other table occupied, so not as if rushed off his feet! Ordered coffees, but lacking in customer communication, had to go... More

Very over priced considering standard of food and service. 2 sandwiches and a kids meal with 3 non alcoholic drinks £30+. Complete lack of interest from staff in delays to food - which should have been advised at the point of ordering - until after 45 minutes we asked if a refund was possible as wanted to be able to... I stayed in this hotel on August 1st 2016 and encountered no problems at all. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful especially Kage and Nicola who both work very hard. Room 6 was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and fresh and in very good decorative order and good bed linen and towels. The view... More

Average hotel, stunning views. Room very tired looking with very noisy plumbing when flushing the toilet and no towels in room! Staff were friendly but visit spoiled by the fact we were staying for one night celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary so had pre-ordered lobster to make our meal there that bit more special. We confirmed lobster order on arrival... More
