What a fantastic old country hunting lodge. This place is full of old country style and charm in all the right ways. The staff make it in all the right ways. The maitre D is absolutely superb, a lovely lady who does a fantastic job. The reception manager was lovely too, nothing too much trouble. We did have our comedy... More

Great surroundings and helpful and well trained staff, I would thoroughly recommend. The food was excellent and the room was clean and tidy, on the whole a very relaxing break. There was plenty to do and see within a 30 mile radius so a great place to base yourself on a trip to the northeast, with an added touch of... More

Rather tired bathroom and furniture in room which was in the attic with many stairs - no lift. I wish had asked for a lower room. Food was excellent and staff could not do enough to please. Beautiful grounds to walk around with the River Till running by. Very relaxing rooms to sit in and a billiard room if required.... More

We had a wonderful stay, the staff were excellent very helpful with local knowledge. The food was delicious served in a beautiful dining room.We were on the top floor which was fine for us but ask for a lower floor if you can't manage lots of stairs. We will definitely go back there is lots to explore in the area .

This hotel is absolutely amazing from the standard of food, service and rooms. We stayed for five nights and were even asked if there was any particular dish we would like the chef to cook for us. The staff were attentive at all times, friendly but polite and professional at all times. We will revisit this hotel whenever we are... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was extremely spacious with elegant furniture and a large bed - a good choice if your four legged friend is with you. The hotel is set in attractive grounds and perfectly placed for the Northumberland coast. The restaurant is a lovely room with high... More

Beautiful location for this wonderful establishment which feels more like a grand country home than a hotel. You feel as if you have slipped back in time to an era of g&t and cucumber sandwiches on the lawn with croquet. Full of character and spotlessly clean. Some might say that the hotel could do with an update but to do... More

We spent 3 nights at Tillmouth Park while visiting family in the area. It is an old "lodge" now owned by overseas syndicate who come here to fish and shoot. It is set in lovely grounds off the beaten track about 10 mins from Cornhill and Coldstream in one direction and 10 mins from Berwick in the other. It is... More

Booked this hotel for a two night break. Had a fabulous time. The hotel is beautifully appointed and we had a large room. The food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no idea why the hotel is only rated three star. The surrounding area is very pretty and there are a wealth of... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has lots of charm and the well equipped bedrooms are comfortable with lovely views of the gardens. We enjoyed the substantial breakfast! Great location for exploring the beautiful countryside in the Cheviot Hills or heading to the stunning North East coast.
